If I have created a memorial for a family member of yours, don't hesitate to request a transfer.

Any photo I have posted on Find a Grave is intended to be used.... Please feel free to use them in personal use and documentation.

Searching means finding the other entry, even though it may contain an error and working together means sending an edit.

Links, Corrections, Transfers and/or additional information
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.

PLEASE NOTE!!!
Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate. For further information on this, please refer to how Find a Grave handles duplicate memorials.

Lastly and most importantly
There are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

MOTTO TO LIVE BY
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

- Hunter S. Thompson

My pleasure Linda...I always hope that family will step up to manage these memorials, as you have done.

Enjoy a great weekend!

Thanx for the link. I searched the cemetery database and the national database as well, and could find no record of this individual anywhere. Happy to get it corrected.

RE: Jean Bernice Kelly Dabney
Had a feeling it was family angst. Was not unhappy about the hunt. Rather enjoyed it. Did try to clean up the markers some but plain water and a toilet brush can only accomplish so much. Do not ever want to damage a marker so that is all I use. At least they can be read better now. The Pacific Northwest is famous for it's rain thus mold. Cyndy

Jean Bernice Kelly Dabney
Linda, it was a bit confusing finding Jean's burial site. She married William l. McKenzie in 1939 in King County, WA. Sadly William died in 1946 in WA at only 32 years. (Jean died fairly young herself at only 47 years.) She then married Herman C. Dabney on May 8, 1948 in King County, WA. Have not found out yet why she is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery next to William with the McKenzie name on her marker and reason tells me it should be Dabney, her second husband. Will be returning to the cemetery to see if their records have any more information. How did you know the section, block and grave number? Because of not finding her at that spot under Dabney hunted all of the Faith section thinking you had been given the wrong information. It was right and did eventually find her. Cyndy

RE: Thomas Campbell
Thomas Jefferson Dawson Campbell is my grandfather & Tommy Campbell is my uncle. I have visited Fort Rosecrans myself. My mother (Thomas Jefferson Dawson Campbell's daughter) also holds the documentation stating that they are both in the same plot. This website (http://www.interment.net/data/us/ca/sandiego/rosecrans/c/rosecrans_c01.htm) also shows that they are both in the same plot (C 17-B). My apologies about the photo. However, I will not be deleting anything. The information originally input into Find a Grave was incorrect. Thomas Jefferson Dawson Campbell did not die in Vietnam.
