Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love this site! I have found many family ties because of everyone's dedication to Find A Grave.
I am retired so should have lots of time for Find A Grave, but find myself busier than before! I am slowly gathering cemeteries near me, but just haven't found time to upload them yet.

Any headstone photo's with my name as photographer you are welcome to copy. Other photo's, check to see if I have permission to use, please.
My personal photo's I would appreciate being asked before they are copied. I think copyrighting grave photo's that were volunteered to take is wrong. That photo belongs to the family and the descendants.

PLEASE do NOT add death certificates or Obituaries to the memorials. Send them to me and I will add the information to the person's BIO.

I manage more than I contribute because..... when I send info for the contributor often they just transfer the memorial to me. I don't mind looking after them and adding as much as I can to help others searching for their family too.

Most of my ancestors were pioneers of the USA, my Great Grandfather, originally from Switzerland, a First Citizen of Washington State. In 1911 he sold his hotel and left for Canada. A province over his daughter-in-law to be and her family were also moving to Canada in 1911. My Mother and I were born in the same place,in Canada.
Some of the memorials I have added are the ancestors who remained or returned to the USA.

My paternal side is Russian and very little information is available. No one living.

I am addicted to genealogy and since having cancer it has become more important to research so my grandchildren or theirs will have a record of their beginning.

If I can help in any way for Canadian records or searches, please use my email address. I can direct you to web sites, or search with you.
Find A Grave isn't set up to volunteer for photo's in Canada, but if you see a cemetery I have someone in, it means its close to me, then please email and I would be happy to look for someone for you.

If there is someone you would like to add to your memorials and manage, just go click on the edit button, tell me how you are related and I will consider it. I don't worry if you are 2-4 or 10 generations apart, just want to know you will take care of them and not make them look trashy. Some people just feel better having all their family together. I like to make people happy!

Lung cancer is the least funded cancer for research. Children get lung cancer. Parents of young children don't get to see them grow. Children lose a parent. No one deserves to die. Please donate to a foundation near you,so all types of cancer have a cure.

November is Lung Cancer Month. The colour for Lung Cancer is white! Wear white or Pearls for lung cancer, in November.
Check out the Face Book page of Wear Pearls in November For Lung Cancer.

I am a 4+ year surgery & chemo Lung Cancer survivor. I live one day at a time. I count each day I wake up a blessing.

Have a terrific day, week, year! Life is: Love & Laughter. May you be blessed with both.

RE: Anthony Verhey
You are welcome. Do you know the Verhey family? I was friends with their youngest daughter growing up but lost track of all them. I was so surprised to see Tony's headstone.
If you find other memorials you would like just let me know, I don't care if you are related or not I am happy to pass them along.

RE: Blanche McDonald
Your very welcome. Well, I was so fast because I have photographed the entire cemetery. I live a mile from there and wanted to try and get the whole cemetery photographed and all the photos uploaded. Altho one part of the cemetery I need to re-photograph because my pictures didn't turn out due to the wrong settings on my digital camera. It will take time to get them all uploaded but I thought I would check for some requests early this morning since I couldn't sleep. You have a great weekend also.

Re; John Ostoforoff
You need to understand that the original records were uploaded from data held in the town office. Over the past 110+ years, many people have managed these records resulting in occasional inaccuracies in the spelling of surnames. To exacerbate the problem, I have found that many (especially Ukrainian and Russian immigrants) changed/shortened their names, either intentionally or as a result of many years of miss-recording or miss-translation of their names. Also, many gravestones were inscribed in Ukrainian and Russian but the cemetery record adheres to the Anglicized version of the name. In some cases, there was no record at all. I have also come across gravestone that were erected LONG after the death event, by well meaning relatives, but based on inaccurate data. So until there is a photo to confirm the entry in the official town record I have no way of knowing what is correct or incorrect. In the case of John Ostoforoff, I have corrected the original record and memorial to reflect the correct version of the last name as inscribed on the grave stone.

RE: Fannie Crouch
Morning Sharon,sending an email.
I posted marker of William so anyone can locate both Irene and Fannie. As I load the pictures I try editing and add any information to the site so any family can trace more.

Thanks Dave

Rabstoff
I hate when I do that...hit enter before I put in a message.
I saw your note to Chad *RE: Sam Rabstoff
They are all related. Maury is actually Morris and Morrie in all records. Adele is Alex's wife. Wonder who is in plot 409, & 410? *
I do not recall the name though I was surprized that there was a different name in amongst the Rabstoffs. I think the last name started with a D, but wouldn't swear to it. Will try to remember to look next time...

Rabstoff photos...
I apoligize for the quality here... They need to be cleaned and I could not do it this time as the water is off in the cemetery.. also the timing with the lighting is hard, considering these reddish stones are tough to get a good photo on.

You are welcome to use them though, however you would like. Hopefully If I get back out there and remember, I will be able to get better ones.
