I am another lover of history and genealogy. After 25 years of research, I have a pretty good idea of how I came to be, and it's been fascinating!
The majority of the memorials that I have posted are of people who are related to me. If you want to ask about them, use either the Edit button on their page or leave a message here. If you send me new information using the Edit button, please make sure that it's based on a good source. I will probably ask you for it.
Most the photos I have posted however are on memorials created by others, and they are of people who are not related to me. The "photos" are from sources published 1922 and earlier, which puts them in the public domain. I put them up in hopes that actual relatives will find them and be able to use them. Note: If you wish to know the source of a photo, click on it for an enlarged version. I write the source in the photo's caption which appears underneath.
If you find a picture of one of your ancestors that I posted, you are free to copy it for your personal use and/or include it in your family tree on Ancestry.com. Please however ask for permission if you intend to use a photo in a published work (and thanks to the folks who have bothered to ask me).
One request: Please do NOT post death certificates on my memorials. I do not consider them a good use of a picture. Most my memorials already have all the information from the person's death certificate (if it exists). Please do not post any other documents, such as census pages, on my memorials.
Two of my favorite verses: "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (John 3:17) and "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)
RE: John W. Mathews The information I entered came from a book by Phyllis East called Cemeteries of Russell County. I never could locate the grave. I was going to delete but have not. I feel the information is not correct for Crawford Cemetery. Let me know if you want me to delete. Thanks

RE: Moses Gage Shirley Thanks for your efforts. Appreciate the Photo. Any information we can add to the Shirley file, will make it easier for those in the future, to get a better focus on the Shirley family of NH. Dean.
