I was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived there for the first seventeen years of my life. The only grave I ever visited was my grandfather; he died in 1960. I didn't know that, within view of his grave, just accross the street, was the unmarked grave of my older brother. The Viet Nam War, and my part as a medic from age 17, put me in contact with many more graves and the people who would visit them. |
I am now a retired Police Officer living in Fairborn, Ohio. I have been an Evidence Tech (now called CSI), Forensic Photographer and Death Investigator during my career and I suppose I'm still doing those things now - as a hobby.
Darlene and I had to put Cherry Grove Cemetery in Xenia, OH on 'standby' and are working in Rockafield Cemetery on the campus of Wright State University. This old pioneer cemetery has been expanded to include donors to their Anatomical Gift Program and the records that I've been given go back to 1970. It will be a busy winter for us but we are not even half-way done with photographing the memorial bricks that line the walkway through the cemetery.
We are still working on finding the graves of soldiers in the USCT and the 54th and 55th Massachusetts Infantry who are buried in Greene Co., OH but this is mostly book-work now.
Any 'grave photographs' I have taken are public domain; copy them and use them as you please.
*TRANSFERS: Most of the memorials that I have posted are not related to me, they are projects that I have taken-on. I believe that ANY relative should be able to take over management of these graves. Just ask me.

Thank you so much for being so attentive to adding the parents of my brother, Bobby! It's always bothered me that he wasn't linked to my Dad and Mom. Your work is much appreciated!

|Robert Woerner||Samuel Cox, 1903-1989|
I believe Samuel Cox, buried in Byron Cemetery, husband of Virginia Varney Cox, to be born in South Carolina and not North Carolina.
I am descended from this Cox line and am researching Samuel.

Hello, Wayne. Would you please transfer the memorials #113982082, for Nevel Burnett, and #113982144, for Mary Magdalene Hatton Burnett to me?
I am related to a large number of the Hattons who live in the Dayton, OH area. I am trying to locate and connect as many family members as I can.
Thank you. It is greatly appreciated.

I am still new at this but have something to ask your help with.
Martha Jane Claypool McFarland has 2 Find a grave numbers. Yours #71155018 and another one by Amber # 20626908. I have that she was 56 years and 11 months when she died; also have she was born 5 April 1789.
Jane was a sister to John 1797-1871?.
There father was Jesse Claypool (My 4th GGF)
John was my 3rd GF, after that it is unknown to who is who.
Maybe with all you have done you may be able to clear it up for me. John married Huldah Biddell (1801-1870?) and on the 1850 census it said they had Elizabeth and Samuel. This is where I can not find much that is right.
James (1853-about 1900) was my GGF who married Minerva Leggett (1854-1898) I know from there who is who. They had My Grandfather Cashie (1894-1931) I have a copy of his death cert that tells who his mother and father were. James and Minerva had 2 kids then divorced and got back together and had 7 more kids. I have pictures of some of there kids (my uncles).
In 1900 James was a widowed. some of the later census say Elizabeth was the mother of many kids. They say she was never married. So I am trying to find out just who James (my GGF) mother was; Huldah or Elizabeth? And his father.
Cashie had 2 girls and one son (my father James Claypool 1923-1986)
I found a census in 1870 where there was a Hulda Claypole living with a family of Likes. and John was still living with Elizabeth, and kids.
If you could help me find out what was going on back then, I would appreciate it.
Thank You Barbara (Claypool) Aultman
Thank you for updating the Kuschels and for adding the links to his parents. I manage a sibling of his and was adding the parents and tracked down the siblings from the census records in hopes that the links would be made. It is dedicated people like you that make this possible. Without your scouring the cemeteries, adding the sites and then photos, the links would not be made. Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Denise
