Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a wife and mother of 4. I have always loved cemeteries and found them to be peaceful, calm places of interesting history. I am happy to be a new Find A Grave contributor and I hope that the memorials I add will be of help to someone doing family research. I am particularly moved by children's graves from long ago, that may no longer be visited or otherwise be completely forgotten. They deserve to be remembered and I consider it a privilege and honor to add them to the Find A Grave database. I also love researching my family history; I have connections with the following names in Kentucky, Virginia and Pennsylvania: Polk, Griffith, Wingate, Durham, Moore, Fetzer, Tryon, Buttrey (Buttry, Buttery), Muncey (Muncy), and West.

Over the past three years a group of Volunteers from Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 594, have been making Memorial Frames for each of the 79 men with Connections to our 5 County area. We are trying to locate family or friends of our Fallen Veteran's listed on our local wall. We are doing bio's with a picture to be put on display at the Naples Military Museum at the Naples Airport.

We are looking for any history you may be able to provide and a picture to honor our falling Veterans.

On November 9, 2014, we are having a dedication this year, at the Military Museum, at the Naples Airport. We are having various news media from our area to honor our fallen men.

Thank you

rogeneah Crist in McGee Cemetery
Hello
If Rogeneah is not related to you, would you consider a transfer to me. She is the only person listed, that was listed in the McGee cemetery in spencer county Kentucky. I have had find a grave change the name of the cemetery to the Patrick McGee cemetery. All of the people listed there were related to McGee Family, my husbands family. If you do not wish to transfer, would you consider changing the cemetery to the Patrick McGee pioneer cemetery, so she can be listed with the family. thank you Pat

John and Martha Durham
Hello,

I've been researching part of my family in Kentucky and have come across your memorial of my fifth great-grandparents John and Martha Durham that are listed in Bellevue Cemetery in Danville:

John: 25295452
Martha: 25295595

I've also noticed those two listed with their son Thomas and his wife Frances (Moss) Durham in a cemetery called 'Durham Cemetery' also listed in Danville. The man who made those memorials said he took the reference from a book on old Kentucky cemeteries and listed the name as Durham Cemetery and the location 4 miles out of Danville. He had assumed it was a family farm.

I was wondering if you had any insight into which is correct? Clearly there are markers for the parents in Bellevue, but are they real or only memorials? The list online maintained by the city has the earliest interment as 1859, 40 years after they died, but that's not conclusive.

I'm not sure if you can help with this, but I would appreciate learning if you knew anything about John and Martha Durham or have ever come across the marker for Thomas and Frances.

Best Regards,

Matthew A. Brewster

RE: Ada B. Stidham
Hi Becky, Will put it on my list to do at Bellevue when this weather lets me go back to it. We have lots of ice and some snow. Will post a message when I get it done for you.
Merry Christmas!

RE: Jackson Transfer
Done, I see in the book where he died in 2000! Wow, it is hard for one to know which is right. Glad that I could transfer and if you need anymore that I have listed just let me know. I am not related to anyone in Bellevue Cemetery. I added a photo for Charles D and Susie Moore Wingate Durham.
Thanks
Karen
