Susan R Perhala-Horry County Cemetery Registration

Please let me know where you found (source) birth date and birth location, and death location for Patrick Clemons. I have received your edit to add the info but since this is family, I'd like to source the info before adding it.

Do you have any other information pertaining to the death date you suggest as 1906. My information comes from not only the newer foot stone but also the Hahn Family Tree by graighahn1 on Ancestry.com?

Updated memorial of James McEntire
UPDATE:

Steven James Coker (Find A Grave Member #47077092) professes the 1735 Date of Birth incorrect (see email below). I acknowledge that I do not know the date of birth: I recorded the date used by his direct descendants when applying for membership in the DAR or SAR. Mr. Coker made valid points re the validity of membership applications to such organizations. It is, therefore, only fair to include his hypothesis and observations so descendants can peruse the information and use it as a springboard to conduct their own research and draw their own conclusions.

The salient point: James McEntire was an American Patriot and the year of his birth was not the most important aspect of his life nor will any year notated as such be recalled. How many people can relate the year in which George Washington was born or the birth year of Abraham Lincoln? (1732 and 1809 for purists.) The essential role McEntire played in American history was of much greater import.

Hi Steven,

I do not know the source but maybe the person that posted the obituary.

Sincerley,
Shirley

Thank you. I added your note. If Susan's birth date is correct she was many years his elder. A marriage source would be helpful to determine the correct spouse. Perhaps he married twice?I will request a tombstone photo and maybe that will help clarify. If you find more, please, let me know. Do you have family at Ten Mile? Many of my Blitch, Gibson and Wolfe family are there.

Redundant?
I am puzzled by your message:
Greetings,
Find A Grave contributor Steven James Coker has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Virgie Britt.
Link to memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=119654496
Link to contributor profile: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=47077092

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
Redundant with Find A Grave Memorial# 39699924
=======
The first memorial is, as you say, Virgie Britt.
The "redundant" memorial is for her husband, Thomas James Britt.
Why do you think they are redundant?

Find a Grave reminder
Our policy (found in the FAQ section) states that newspaper article/obit images are not to be used as photographs in the photo section of memorials. Those are more suitable for an Ancestry.com family tree page. On Find a Grave, the photo section is reserved for photos of the person's grave, and, if owned and available, a portrait of the person. Death Certificates are currently acceptable. Also, any photo/image found and copied from the internet should never be used. Leave the photo area blank so that someone who does have legitimate photos can use it.

Thank you,

AJ
