Brainerd and Brainard are interchangeable, though the immigrant ancestor's (Daniel Brainerd 1641-1715) grave marker is spelled Brainerd. See memorial # 47491853.|

Thanks for having sharp eyes. Corrected.

Thanks for bringing George to my attention. I do not check out the edits closely enough. I found his mother and linked them. His first wife was also linked in error. I have requested she be deleted as I have linked the correct memorial of his first wife. Thanks. Geo

According to "Honor Roll, State of Illinois, Veterans Commission, dated 1956, Charles Goodspeed was a veteran of the Civil War. The G.A.R. records for Champaign County also have him listed as a Civil War veteran.

The date was shown in the records of the Erie Conference of the United Methodist Church which I attached to my message to you. That is my only source. If you have personal or family information which is different, then I would recommend you keep the original date.

Not sure what you meant by this suggestion, but I added it to her memorial.

Sorry about not including an e-mail adddress. I used the form for changes because there might be on3 after we compare notes. The form resembles an e-mail message and displayed my mail address. There seem to be some bugs in the form. Oh, well, it wouldn't be the first bug, and they eventually get them corrected. Meanwhile, I'll send from e-mail.

English yes, binary code no.

The long strings of numbers as Virtual Flower messages is an inappropriate usage of the feature. They have been removed (for the second time).
Please remember that the Virtual Flower feature is intended for tributes and condolences only.

Stone says Mary Brainard wife of A. C. Brainard born June 16 1818 died May 8 1901. I didn't get a rubbing, the mosquitos were horrible but it was a lot clearer than what I could see before. I hope it helps. His stone reads A.C. Brainard died Sept 19 1881 aged 66 years.
