I don't do genealogy myself, but I do have a great sense of the importance of history.|
One of my big hobbies is photography and I often drive around the countryside looking for that one great shot. Cemeteries are full of beautiful pictures and the exercise is great. Can't wait to investigate the ones around here, and now with even more of a purpose!
It's not my intent to add Memorials, but if I do and you want to manage it, just let me know.
After having been here and watching the community for a few months I want to add that I consider this to be a joint project where our goal is to create a historical document.
I heard a story from a person who works at a company that manages two large cemeteries in the area. She had found findagrave and had decided to help out by creating memorials and uploading pictures and obituaries as people were interred in her cemeteries.
She probably hadn't completely read the rules but she was honestly trying to help. Of course she occasionally created duplicate memorials and the emails she received because of that were so nasty that she decided to quit trying.
So, because some people have forgotten that we are trying to create a shared project, not just gather as many memorials as possible for ourselves, this community lost a valuable resource. Luckily for me she's still a nice person who just wants to help and has so far been willing to help me with finding graves in her two cemeteries, but the larger community lost something important because of the attitudes of a few. That makes me sad.

Hi-was wondering where you too the pic of Wm Emerson Farner's headstone without the inscription "Ella M His Wife"? Was it possibly on the back side of the headstone in Prospect Hill Cemetery just outside Newville? I am very curious because when I visited there a few years back I took a photo of one side and posted it on his memorial site. I never thought to look on the back.

Thank you kindly for your time and efforts in finding and photoing these headstones. It is very much appreciated.
Should you ever get back to this area, could you
move the follage to uncover more data about Laura, the wife of Homer. Perhaps a stiff brush would help to clean off the headstone.
Thank you for being a part of findagrave. You are much appreciated.

|Louise Lawrence||RE: Anna B Campbell|
Hello Melisa! Yes, I do know where she is buried. Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron, Ohio. Anna (Campbell) Swords. I do not know the exact location of the plot but I have been there myself. I do not know if she has a memorial on this site. I am completely new here and apparently do not know the protocol so I appreciate your help. Thank you.
