Bio and Links
Bio Photo I moved to North-Central Kansas in late 2008, which gave me a whole new starting place for family history research! My grandmother Elsa Opal Long Vandecar (1896-1996) was the family historian, and for the last 15 years or so I've been trying to continue her legacy.

You are welcome to copy any of my gravestone photos onto other genealogy or family history websites; no need to credit me. Helping other family historians by gathering those photos is my way of paying forward all the help I've received!

Louise Hicks Haskett Belleville
S. J. Oregon,

Many thanks for obtaining the photo of Louisa Haskett (my great grand mother).

While you were in the Belleville Cemetery did you notice a marker for her husband, Eli Haskett (1847-1930.) He is listed in the plot with Louisa on the cemetery record BUT he died in the National Veterans Home in Hampton, Virginia, and is believed to be actually buried in the National Cemetery there. Perhaps a cenotaph in Belleville for "Father?"

Bessie Ione Gardner-Etken-Nicholas - Mount Hope Cemetery
Thank you so very much for photographing the gravestone of Ione & her 1st husband, Robert Etken. I sincerely wish to express my gratitude for your efforts in preserving genealogical history for not only your family, but for many others such as myself. We do the same for our own... my husband & I are the family historians, keeper of genealogy & also do gravestone & records transcription. It's a wonderful hobby and legacy for future generations.

RE: Agnes Streator
I contacted the member who had her memorial and let them know to update that memorial with "No Headstone" aft you told me, but I can't find the memorial, now.

Have a great day, SJ
