I have been interested in family history since I was a young child, because of my grandmother's interest. Now that my children have graduated from college, I have lots more time to devote to this all-consuming hobby! I am researching several family lines - Darsey, Dearman, Culpepper, Wright, Jackson, Walker,Steele, Waller, and Morgan. My husband's lines include Holden, Hill, Warriner, Farrell, Combs, and Long. If anyone has any connection to these lines, mostly in Mississippi/Alabama/Louisiana, I'd love to hear from you.|

Thank you, Dede! I appreciate you checking on this.
|Sandra Oxedine||Annie Ophelia Dennis Woodyear|
I tried to edit an error on the information you have on my aunt. Her name was Annie Ophelia Dennis Woodyear and she is buried in the Union Church Cemetery, Jefferson County, Union Church,MS.
The correct date and place of her death is:
Died September 4, 1983 at Fayette, ( Jefferson County), Mississippi.
She was the daughter of my grandmother, Clara Dennis and Grandfather James Stephens Dennis. My father was Guss Dennis and they ae all buried at Union Church, Mississippi.
If the edit I performed did not "take" would you edit it for me? Thanks so much for your interest in my family. Thank you,
Sandra Sue Dennis Oxedine

They go from 1872 to 1897 -- on microfilm at the MDAH Archives library. Old handwriting and sometimes hard to read but invaluable.

So glad to be of help. I also found that "Pat Giles" died of congestion at age 45 and was buried on April 11, 1880, likely meaning he died a day or so before. I found a Mrs. Nannie Farrell buried in the same plot in Section 6 -- she died of dysentery at age 60 and was buried on June 30, 1892.

Are you familiar with the James graves at Barrytown Cemetery? Or do you know anybody who knows about them? I am looking for someone who may be familiar with this cemetery. There are four graves with headstones, but just the last name James. I was wondering if anyone knew who they were. :)

You're welcome. Thanks for the information! :)

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to take the photo for me. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

Dede, Thanks for the recent photos of Elijah and his wife Eunice. Your efforts are much appreciated.
|J. Huck||Benjamin Cleveland Floore|
I submitted and edit for him but, if you are related, I can supply you with information that I recently found. He and one of my relatives crossed paths in Louisiana. Just let me know if you'd like additional information.

Okay. Thank you for the information. I just did a quick search on her, since I am bogged down with other things dealing with family. I didn't want to spend a lot of time searching for wedding and divorce information. I am trying to get my family tree together. Thanks for the information. I am sure I probably have it somewhere.
