Recently retired. Love to fish, especially warmwater, freshwater gamefish species. Used to ice fish, but need a warmer non-summer activity. Thought Find-A-Grave might fit that opening, at least through the transition months. Both activities center around the central western portion of the Finger Lakes Region in Western New York. In 2010, caught and released a 20 1/2 inch largemouth in Honeoye, a 20 1/4 inch largemouth in Canandaigua, a 21 inch smallmouth in Keuka, a 40 1/4 inch northern in Keuka, and a 27 inch chain pickerel in Canandaigua. You've got to love the beauty of the hills, the richness of the farm lands, the water resources, and the history of the Finger Lakes and it's inhabitants.

 | RE: Furlong, Sloan & Brown photo requests You're super welcome, Charles!
Thanks so much for the compliments! I love doing it. I want you to have useful and attractive photos and it just takes patience I have no formal training in photography
I was perplexed that I was missing stones for Furlong and others in adjacent lots. When I got there I remembered that I came to that corner of the section last summer and was hot and tired and I made a mental note to return there. I did not until today. There are still a lot of stones to photograph and I did about 150 today
All the Best, Paul

 | RE: Post Script to Maple Grove photo requests. Hi Charles,
Yes they do. She is next door to the Sloans

 | RE: Maple Grove photo requests. Okay, very good. I will photograph everything on the stone, as I always do. The visible side of the obelisk is facing east and so I will have photograph the other side in the early afternoon
The Browns appearing in the Excel for lot 417 are Carlos, Ann Fowler, Howard, Lydia and Leona
I believe it is a cenotaph for Lydia because there is a stone for her in Marengo. She could have been removed to Clyde, though She is not in the Excel but that doesn't mean anything since the records are incomplete

 | RE: Sarah Thorn photo request I have the spreadsheet and maps and all the people you asked for are listed. But the records are incomplete. That is a reason I am photographing the cemetery. But it is quite large and as you know I am all over the landscape. I put the project on hold when the requests ceased
Perry probably has a stone. He is on 290 and I do not have 294 north through 290.
Carlos and Lydia Brown are on 417 and that is north of where I cut off. Norman Sloan is on 270, which is in that vicinity. I am going to check for these people on Monday

Yes, that's pretty much the truth! There are so many cems that noone goes to or noone goes to when requests appear that I photograph the cemetery. I have not done that with Marengo because the stones that exist were photographed and uploaded to memorials on Find-A-Grave by one of the volunteers
Maple Grove is a work in progress and I have 1200 stones now but do not have your Furlong yet
Best Regards, Paul

 | Stowell Hi - Thank you so very much for photographing the monument and marker. Time has taken its toll on the engravings so it is good to have pictures before all is lost. So important to preserve these records of those who have gone before us. Gloria | | | Barbara Keil
 | Hardeleben Thank you for the pix for Wilson and Marion. Barbara | | | B.J. Waters
 | RE: Furlong photo requests You're welcome! I just have a question about the information you want added. You have stated that Myrtle's maiden name was Tryon. The California Death Index says that her mother's maiden name was Tryon. Are you sure that it was Myrtle's maiden name? I don't think they could both have the same maiden name?
