Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.

My passions in life are my family, genealogy,
gardening,and writing.

I started climbing my family tree when I was twelve, and haven't stopped yet!

I have enjoyed taking some "roots vacations" to
Illinois and Pennsylvania. Genealogy naturally leads you to the world of history. I enjoy American History very much.

Many of my ancestors came to America for religious reasons. I have traced them through
just about every war that America has taken part in.

"Turning Hearts" comes from the last verse in The Old Testament, Malachi 4: 6. is one of my very favorite websites.

It is a second death after you are forgotten.
How many generations does it take, even in a close knit family, for the fabric to unravel....?
Albert Lewis, Jewish Rabbi

"And death hath come upon our fathers; nevertheless we know then, for a Book of Remembrance we have written among us, according to the pattern of God." Moses 6: 45-46

RE: Stephen Greenleaf
My pleasure! I was briefly in Vermont looking for some of my relations in the same cemetery. It is a beautiful stone & I was also able to photograph the stone of Stephen's wife. I'm always happy to see how well inscriptions hold up when they used slate!
Best regards, Lara

Sarah's stone is sloped forward at about 45 making it difficult to photograph. It's dark but readable.

Hi. I was adding info and photos to this man's memorial, #24274675, and noticed your note wondering if he was someone else. Since his obit and tombstone do not indicate he is who you were hoping he was, would you please remove your note/flower? Thanks.
