Bio and Links
Bio Photo My grandmother, Nellie Witt Spikes (a pioneer of Crosby County, Texas and noted historian who coauthored Throughout the Years: A History of Crosby County) left me a large amount of information that she compiled about our family history, which has proven to be extremely accurate. She accumulated this information from various family members, visiting cemeteries, and letters of request from different agencies beginning in the 1940's. My husband, Darrell, and I feel privileged in organizing and printing this information for our family. We have found Find A Grave to be a valuable tool and have enjoyed adding information for others.

Thank you for sponsoring the memorial for Emma (Spikes) Fullingim. This is a very meaningful gesture, and your generosity is so appreciated. Emma's husband, Horace Edward Fullingim, was my second cousin two generations removed.

Hi,
Thank you for sponsoring their memorials. You stated that you are related. Would you please share your relationship? John E. Franklin was my Great Great Uncle. Christian was my GG Aunt by marriage and my cousin by blood.
Thank You Again,

I'm so sorry that this has turned into a fiasco.

I can delete my entry---if you guys don't mind. I hate that you have sponsored it though.

All of this happened from a "suggestion" from someone else. I wish they would have just left it alone now.

From what it looks like, until your entry is deleted, I can't change the connection of her two children to my entry, because they are connected to yours at this time.

But I hate that we even have to do this at all. I was directed to do this by another person. I should have just deleted my entry when it came up, and it would have saved us both from the complications.

I do appreciate your sponsoring my entry, and that you guys have been so willing to help. I guess go ahead and delete yours, and I've written down who her two children are. When yours is gone, I'll see that the two children get connected to mine--as it looks like they were both entries of mine also.

Sorry for all of the trouble.

Someone else had emailed me and suggested that you guys keep your entry because someone had sponsored it.

I'm not related to Minerva either as far as I know. But if someone sponsored yours, it means that they paid for that. I wouldn't want them to be disappointed finding yours gone.

I don't mind deleting mine, but I thought it would be nice to keep the info that I had found about her.

(I'm just relaying what someone else thought I should do.) But I'll go along with whatever you think is best.

Are you related to any Lancasters from Floyd Co., Va.???

Hi Guys,

I just got informed by someone that we both have entries for Minerva. Yours had been one belonging to Ralph Garland Tuttle at one time. It looks like someone has sponsored yours--even though mine had been first and has some info in the bio section that you don't have.

Would you mind copying my info from the bio on my entry using the "copy & paste" feature---and add it to yours---then I'll delete mine. I wouldn't want anyone to delete a sponsored entry. But that way my info can be saved also, hopefully making it OK for everyone.
