Bio and Links
Bio Photo Taphophilia (a passion and enjoyment of cemeteries) has been my main hobby since the late 1970's when I was a junior in high school. I discovered that cemeteries in and around Los Angeles were the best places to hide from truant officers. It was in these adopted sanctuaries that I began to appreciate my surroundings: the grounds, the headstones, the architecture, the artwork and most importantly, the residents.

In October of 2010, I founded The Traveling Taphophiles, a group that sets out once a month to visit cemeteries. Our travels have taken us as far as New Orleans. I'm fortunate to have met others that share my hobby and to have forged some great friendships.

Once photos have been posted, feel free to use them as you wish - photo credit isn't necessary.

Happy Graving ~

Louis DuMort

Thank you once again for fulfilling a photo request for me. The picture of the bench with the hawk on the side was neat. Red

RE: Steve Forrest
Thanks Louis.

Yes, I had seen that. Unfortunately, there is a grammatical error in the very first line of your bio. Can you get them to correct that? After the comma, it should either say "he was" or the "he" could be deleted. In my profession, things like that drive me crazy.

Also, by the Find A Grave rules, it should just say "Actor" and not "American Actor". And we thought the mention of Hondo's signature phrase "Let's roll" was significant in light of recent history.

Thank you for moving his brother's name to the bottom.

I'm truly glad they left the links. Curious that they deleted photos other people had added.

RE: Steve Forrest
Hi Louis,

Yes, we were going to mark him as "famous" eventually. We were just waiting to be sure that we had contacted everyone in the family first and before the obituary was released. That is done now.

I appreciate your advice. As you can imagine, we have been dealing with so many things.

Thank you,
Angela

Hi Louis, Another great Bio! According to his obit, Forrest will be interred at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Griffin Memorial Park in Westlake Village, FYI.

Thanks for your help in taking the picture of this grave. This lady was one of my mom's first cousins, for which I have been trying to obtain pictures. This helps me get one step closer.

Much appreciated!
