My husband, Mike and I have been doing research for over 30 years. Lots of walking cemeteries for photos, lots of courthouse research & library research. The computor age has now made it a little easier but still lots of research done through traveling and the same way we did it before.

Being a photo volunteer for and helping others with their memorial's is a true blessing to us.

I've transferred her to your care as you requested. I NEVER heard her referred to as Edith in all the years she lived in Durham - we all knew her as Helen. She was a gracious lady, ready with a smile, and knew lots of little tidbits about local history, and shared them!

I had a difficult time getting this photo as a large tree root is growing across the left side of the stone. My husband held back the low-growing shrub and we swept away as much of the dirt and sand as we could. The birth year has pretty much disappeared under the large root (probably 5 or 6 inches in diameter). Let me know if you want a "view" pic and I will get that next time I am over there.

You're welcome. I'm taking a brk from taking pics during some hot days and will try again on wed when supposed to get back in 80's. There may have been more pics I posted that I didn't send you notice. Feel free to ck names for pics and let me know who still needs a pic for your family. Before I left last visit, I saw a stone in woods and when I got closer there were lg and sm pcs of stone laying on ground behind it in woods. So sad what's been done to this cem.

Vera,

The other thing I forgot to mention that when you accept the edits, you'll always know who submitted the additions. This is helpful in case someone contacts you and asks if you are related to person. You'll be able to go to your edits tab and give the Find A Grave contact number to that person.

HI Vera,

When you go to your edits tab, you just need to ACCEPT the edit. All the information will appear on the memorial as typed. You don't have to go in and retype the information. Try it with the one I sent.

Thanks

Kim
