Yes, I'm related, but not really close. She is sister-in-law of my 2nd cousin 1X removed.

Mark M. Anderson
RE: Spelling of Francis
Hi Sammy;
Mark Anderson here.
Your question is did I spell my mothers name correctly. Yes; indeed I did. Her name is Goldie Francis (Howard) Anderson.
I was surprised as to find out there is more than one way to spell her name.
I am in the process of doing genealogy for the Anderson, Dunn, Carty and more of Huron Co., Michigan, also Howard, Stoddard, Whitney and more of Albion, Calhoun Co. Michigan. Some of these names are on
If I can assist you with some of these names let me know.

RE: Kennedys of Midland City, AL
Sam. Joseph has military papers. I would have to look and see exactly what I have.

I will be in touch, but not quickly.

Thanks Sammy for this; both of these memorials were set up by someone else and then transferred to me at a later date. Frankly I hadn't paid much attention to what she had posted on them. I have changed the place of birth for them to simply Dale County, AL. I actually knew about Midland City, the origins of its' name, etc and that it wasn't founded until after the civil war.....but as I said, I hadn't noticed the originator had put that down until you pointed it out. Both were actually born on a farm so neither were born in any "city".
