RE: Susan Carroll #83485495
Sorry I have taken so long to get in touch with you. I didn't think to look here for a question on documentation for Sue Hill Carroll's death place.
The U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014 lists her last residence as Rockport, Aransas, Texas, USA.
The Texas Death Index, 1903-2000 lists the county of Aransas as her place of death.

I am a 1st cousin 1x removed of Sue Carroll. I was at her funeral in Rockport, Texas, in March of 1998.

Thanks,
Mary Elmore Kellogg Cowart

RE: Clarence Elder #85873746
I have been busy and I haven't had a chance to look into it. We are in the process of selling our house so I really don't have time for research right now. I'll look into it once we are settled.

RE: Bobbie Calkins
Thanks so much for correcting my father's name. No apology needed, I'm glad people like you care enough to catalog the graves especially since some of the persons buried might not have living family in the area to do so. If you would like to transfer the pages for my parents Bobbie and Rosemary Calkins over to me I'll be happy to take care of their pages, I will also add a photo of the gravestone when the new one I will be ordering to replace the old flush mounted one is in place. Thank you again.

Rebecca Blake DeGroat
Hi LostGeneration,
I have reason to believe Rebeccah was born in Vermont because eight of her siblings (4 full- 4 half) were also born in Vermont. Her mother, Lucy Goodell Blake, (1793-1821) died during a blizzard in Vermont in Dec 1821 and is buried there. Find A Grave Memorial# 49480161. Rebecca was her last child, and was 13 months old at the time.
Rebeccah's father, Harrison Gray Blake (1788-1868) Find A Grave Memorial# 71209075, married a Vermont woman, Sybil Williams (1800-1864) and 4 of their eight children were also born in Vermont.
In the 1880 US Census, Rebecca lists Vermont as her birthplace.
Hope this helps : )

RE: And herein lay the confusion... John P. and Margaret Kohut Gallagher
Your welcome, and thanks for the "Gallacher" catch! Guess sometimes we see what we want to see!

I'm new at this corresponding via Find a Grave so what is your preferred method, you just want it kept to the edit page or is there another not so public way to communicate?

Sees like we have a lot of shared surnames so in the future if there is another way you want to communicate just let me know.

memorial # 163159677
Greetings Lost Generation!
Dropping you a note to send my appreciation for the time you devote to this web site. Your care in creating memorials actually helps many of us with our family tree quests. I am not looking for a transfer, as the soul in memorial # 163159677 is not my relation but that of my sister-in-law whom I am assisting with her genealogy. It is because of the kindness of volunteers like you, that some of us can break thru the brick walls of our research challenges!
Thank You!
Darlene

RE: Addie/Anna Ratcliff #104768677 and #104768696
For Addie, both of her parents were born and died in Buncombe County and she was about two years of age at death. She and her parents are buried at Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery in Buncombe County, also they are listed in the 1900 and 1910 US Census at Leicester, Buncombe County.
