I believe that memorials on this website should be established to aid family members in paying tribute to their relatives and to aid in genealogical research. At no time will I ever deny transferring a memorial to a family member to "keep my numbers from being lowered". If you are in the FAG guidelines, I will transfer.
Please state how you are related with all transfer requests.Along with your FAG ID #.I will also transfer out side of FAG guidelines as long as activliy putting on memorials but if it appears you are only collecting family #'s then i reserve the right to refuss.
I love doing this and my sister-in-law and I can do a grave yard in record time...We do a lot of our photographing of cemeteries together. And as she puts it we are like locusts. We hit a cemetery and eat it up.
I love to get all information from anyone to make the memorial better so please feel free to contact me with any suggestions. Except if you do not have an E-mail, or do not let people comment on your profile or give any way for me to contact you back then please do not make suggestions. I say this because if I have a question about the information I need some way to contact you. I will not blindly put on something that I have concerns about.
******Please use Edit tab on upper right hand side of memorial for all transfer request and all corrections. This makes it so much easier for me. PLEASE DO NOT add the info in the "Leave Flowers & a Note" section, this looks tacky. This should be used for love & sympathy notes not bio. Use the "edit" tab and I will gladly add your information in the memorial. ******

|Doc||Hutson's of TN|
Teresa, I am gr grandson of Robert Nixon and Lena Stanley Hutson of Tellico Plains TN interned in the FBC Cementery. I found the pics of their headstones at your FindAG site. I would love to help you fill in the info on Robert and Lena with other children and their parents to keep information flowing from others who might find it and have additional info. I was born in Maryville TN and spent most of my life in Marietta GA where I live today. I have been to their grave sites many times and spent many happy times in Tellico growing up. Both sides of my family mom and dad had family members from Monroe, McMinn and Blount Cos and Tellico specifically. Family names that are related are: Russells,Cates,Butlers (Rafter Comm),Halls,Thomas and many more. Robert's parents are buried in Cockran Cem in Englewood TN McMinn Co TN as is his brother Joseph Walter Hutson and family. Thanks for your efforts for keeping these names and histories alive. Blessings, Dr Jim Hutson Marietta GA

Thank you very much!
|Mary Hicks||RE: William Russell Hicks|
Sorry for such a long delay in answering. My husband has been very ill, and has been through many surgeries. I am finally back at genealogy, now that he is back on the road to health. It has been nip and tuck for a while now. Yes, my husband is related to William Russell Hicks--they were from different generations--but cousins. My husband is the last known male descendant of William Hicks and Elizabeth Dunnaway, as was William Russell Hicks. Only, they descended from different brothers. My husband descends from James D. Hicks, while William was a son of Lance Washington Hicks--sons of William and Elizabeth. James D. was a hearing son, and Lance W. was a deaf son, and the only deaf child to marry and have children. There was one other deaf son who married, but he did not have children. William and Elizabeth had 10 children, half where hearing, half where either deaf, or hearing/speech impaired. After the death of William and Elizabeth the deaf children migrated into Loudon County mostly, although a few went to Knox Co,with the Pass family where they tended to take up residence--especially the girls, as they were unable to care for themselves financially. One son followed in his father's footsteps as a cobbler (shoe maker/repair), and the others were farmers, and worked on the Pass farms. Only 2 got to go the "Deaf and Dumb" school in Knoxville before the Civil War broke out, then the school closed down, and the rest were unable to go. The first to own land, or have a "normal" hearing person's life was James D. Hicks, my husband's great grandfather. We didn't even know about the deaf gene until I began doing the family genealogy and discovered it in the 1850 census. My husband has done a yDNA test in case we ever come across a cousin in the future--hopefully we might. We have already proven one person to not be related by doing this testing. Warmest Regards, Mary Hicks
|D.J.||Elmo J. Jones - 83112370|
Elmo J. Jones, 83112370, Towee Falls Baptist Church Cemetery. You can not find a headstone for this name because it is the same person as E. Geneva Jones, 83056307. Jeneva is spelled Geneva on the headstone which is the correct spelling, but not the way she used it.

|Daphne Maddox||Thomas Baker b. 1829|
Hello Ms. Harris,
I have a question about Thomas Baker (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=33149928&ref=acom). I realize you did not create his memorial, so you may or may not be able to answer it.
I'm wondering how we arrived at the information concerning his parents. He bears a striking resemblance to a different Thomas Baker whose mother was also Nancy Baker, in his name, birth date, birth state and other offspring from this different family who have the names Bennet and Lafayette. I can provide more information on this other family if it helps, but for now I wonder if you can tell me how his parents were determined. I see that the parents are in a different cemetery, so it must not be that they are resting next to each other.
I appreciate anything you can share on the subject.
Thank you so much!
|Tommie Moser Nichols||Francis Moser|
Francis Moser, 1763-1836, is a duplicate of my memorial #35317420. I placed it March 2009 and would appreciate if you would please delete yours. He is my 4th Great Grandfather. All Mosers, Summitts, Brakebills, and Blankenships in St. Pauls are my ancestors!
|Clarence J DILLION||RUSSELL-MARYVILLE BAPTIST|
HI Teresa--I agree. When the wife and I worked Russell-Maryville Baptist last fall, we did not know about the two Russells out off Wilkinson. I checked to see if the folks were already in the one on Mt. Tabor Road but had not yet discovered the confusion surrounding the five different RUSSELL cmeteries in Blount. I did NOT purposely intent to create DUPS :-(
I have added GPS #'s to help keep the two that are only three mile apart a little clearer. I am deleting DUPS at RUSSELL-MARVILLE and uploading pictures to your memorials, as needed. V/R Joe
|Rozetta Mowery||Tragedy in Tin Can Holler Virtual Cemetery|
I want to thank you for creating a virtual cemetery for Tragedy in Tin Can Holler. I noticed that you have not included my sister-in-law Linda Lou Brown Mowery (my brother Billy Ray Mowery's wife). Sadly she passed away in October 2014. She has a memorial page. Thank you so much for everything you do for our deceased loved ones.
Blessings to you and yours,
