Hi George,
You are correct - there are two entries for David and one needs to be deleted. However, my entry was created before yours and is the one that stays. Duplicate entries are not allowed, even when they are created by extended family members.
Once your entry has been deleted, you do have the option of requesting a transfer of the original memorial to you. Although your relationship to the deceased does not qualify for an automatic transfer (you are not an immediate family member as defined in the Find-A-Grave guidelines), some members do transfer "out of guidelines" depending on the situation.
