Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born Oct. 6, 1937 in Houston,Texas. At the age of 17, I married W.W.(Bill) Forsythe and moved to East Texas where my husband was born and raised. I am the mother of three sons, and one daughter. Seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one deceased great grandchild. My husband and I were always very interested in Genealogy. On his paternal side we were able to go back to 1724 and went to all of the places that they had settled in the United States. From Scotland and Ireland to West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Mississippi, Louisiana, and then on to Texas.

On my paternal side,(Gifford)We also visited all of the places that they lived. We were able to go back to 1634 when my ancestor settled in Massachusetts. From there my direct line went to New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, and then Texas. All of our other lines,(to mention a few of mine are Arn, Peters, Koopman, Barwick, Robinson,Lyles, Parkman, etc., Bills side, Landrum, Johnson, Renfro, Franklin, etc.) have also been traced.

In early 2006, my husband was diagnosed with Glioblastoma 4, cancer of the brain. Very fast acting and no possible cure. He passed away in July of that year. It was a tremendous loss to me and my family. We were married 51 years, l month and 13 days.

son: Edmond Mark Franklin
Grandson: Francis Eugene Franklin
Great granddaughter: Arrie D. Franklin Skipper
GG Grandson: Roy Everett Skipper
3rd G Grandson: George W. Skipper
Me: Ann skipper Boykin

I have two portraits handed down from Francis Eugene Franklin to his grandson, Roy Everett Skipper. One is of Arrie, Roy's mother who died age 19 during childbirth.

The other one Granddaddy said was his grandparents. This one had no writing or identification on it. I was wondering if you might be willing to look and see if it might be Edmond Mark and his wife? She looks a lot like the lady posted on your memorial..Hampton?

Benjamin Gifford Sr/Lewis Cemetery
Hi Myrtice,
I want to add the headstone photo for Benjamin Gifford Sr to his memorial. I just don't want the photo to be above his portrait, I want to put it below it. I have been a Find a Grave member less than 2 years, so maybe you can answer my question. Do you know how this can be done?
Sincerely, Ron Kinney

Hi,

My grandmother was a Gifford. William was my 5th great uncle. His brother Joseph was my 5th great grandfather.

Thanks, and all the best to you.

Barbara Hammons Davis, Dalt's Mom
Re: Dalton
Hello, Thank you for thinking of my son. Our children are a joy and Dalton left the world and my family and his friends so much richer for having him in their lives.
You have endured so much. I know your pain never goes away but it gets easier as time passes. Dalton brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. I know your own boy soothes your heart. Peace to you. God loves you. We are the special mothers that he favored with special children. We are the mothers of angels.
