|Bio and Links|
San Diego has some of the best Find a Grave contributors who are doing an amazing job of documenting our local cemeteries. If you need a grave photo there is no shortage photo volunteers. If you are looking for an obituary, cemetery information or advice we have volunteers happy to help you. |
If you are new to Find a Grave and want to start contributing in the San Diego area please read the FAQs or reach out to someone with your questions.
Please always do a search before creating a new memorial
Links, Corrections and additional information
Please use the edit tab and I will be happy to make corrections, add links and additional information. Do not leave information you want added on this page.
Note: Abstracted lists (such as census, death index, etc.) should be formulated into complete sentences prior to submitting for addition to the bio.
Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio". Please don't send these type of bios because they will not be added.
This is Find-a-Grave, we find graves, so please, if the memorial doesn't have a grave photo, request one prior to asking for a transfer.
I'm pretty liberal when it comes to transfers, however too many times I have transferred and nothing is added or changed. So if you want a transfer, please:
1. Post any family photos (if you have them)
2. Provide me with family links and biographical information you wish to add to the memorial.
3. Tell me your exact relationship
I will not make a transfer if you create excessive memorials with unknown burial locations.
Please be a Find a Grave contributor, not just a collector of someone else's work
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!! Do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate.

Thank you for posting a photo and info on my Great Grandmother. We had a photo of her grave but it did not have a location on it . We were quite surprised to find out she was buried in San Diego, since she lived most of her life in Indiana . She must have been visiting her many family members and passed while she was there and it was easier to bury her there near family than to send her back to Indiana.Thank you again for all the info and time you spend posting such valuable genealogy information .

I appreciate you letting me know this. Some people are just lost to time. I suspect his father is actually buried in Glen Cemetery, but with no records available (I've tried!) this is purely speculation. Best to you. JK

|Lee||I have info|
You have started a memorial for Mike Halvorsrud, Paul Funk, Pearl Funk, and Karen McGregor. They are distant relatives and I would appreciate it if you could add some info I have on each. Not particularly interested in having it transferred to me, but can do it either way. I am guessing that you are not related and just recording info. They have a plaque at Cypress View Mausoleum and Crematorium in San Diego, CA. Please let me know and I will send the info--dates and places. Lee

May I have your permission to download the gravestone photo of Mina E Johnston? I would like to use it on my family tree on Ancestry - with photo credit to you, of course. Thank you for your consideration. Barb

Thanks for transferring my g grandmother's 2nd husband to me. She is buried in a different area of Greenwood. I am 'collecting' my family members, as I am the family genealogist. Glad to have him on the 'team'. THANKS SO MUCH!, C.J.

I went to Greenwood today. Yes... he is buried right at the fence to Imperial. Would you transfer his management to me? Or add his grave location. (Knights of Pythias, Lot 81, grave #3.) His middle name is Lewis. THANKS! C. J.

Thank you so much for the transfer of C.P. Shumate. I just finished adding a short biography for him and linking him from the Moran Place Blog page.

Wow...you just gave me a lot of information about finding him. I am also a photo volunteer, and was in this exact area a week or so ago, getting photos of folks buried next to Lily Lake on the hill of Westlake Place and Fireman's Circle. Since you have his headstone on his memorial, and it is very different than others, I should be able to find him, then take the photo to prove to the office that they have him there. Thanks so much, for your quick response, and for adding the new photo to his memorial. THANKS! C.J. Jackson
