Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my family tree for about 15 years. I enjoy looking for my relatives and ancestors and have many headstone photos. The last names I have been researching are Hoffman, Schleis, Wolter, Waite, Halverson, and Severson.

I am also researching Buchanan, Bowen, Bucey, Williamson, Allen, Carter, and other families related to the Buchanan Log House in Nashville, Tennessee.

If I have created a memorial for a loved one, please feel free to ask for a transfer. I want family members to be in control of the memorials to their loved ones. Families will have more information then I do and will be able to add it.

Can you move your photo to the memorial below? That is not the correct soldier. According to the BIO he was an Indiana veteran. Marker says ILL.

Here is the correct memorial:

Wiliamson Cem., Mt. Juliet, TN
Hello Natalie, can you tell me where this Williamson Cemetery is located in Mt. Juliet. We went to a garage sale at 170 Denny Dr. today and behind it is this very old cemetery. I asked the people about it and they said it's on the property of an older man behind them. I asked if they knew how old the cemetery is and the lady said she looked up the property records and it has African American, wouldn't that mean a slave cemetery or slaves buried there. She also said they were told there's some Civil War soldiers buried there. There is a huge stone marker that has Williamson Wilson Cemetery yet I only find this Williamson Cem. in Mt. Juliet on Find A Grave. So do you know if this is Williamson Wilson Cemetery? I'm curious since I've been doing family tree research for many yrs. now and old cemeteries fascinate me. Btw, there are many many markers that are only bricks or stones with big stones here and there which makes me think it is a slave cem. but there are big stones too as being a family cemetery, thanks, Kay.

Charles Rice Jones
How do you know the two infants of Charles Rice Jones and Katie G Ozment were female? they are my great grandparents and no one has ever been able to tell me the gender of those two babies. Just curious as to where you found that information. Thank you.

David Lipscomb, Jr
I notice you have a post for David Lipscomb, Jr in Nashville TN at Mt Olivet. The maiden name of his mother was Fulgham NOT Fulghrens. Her name was Anna Fulgham and she was the sister of my 2gt grandmother who is also buried there.
Thank you in advance for correcting that info.

RE: Stephen Hill
Birth: 1956
Death: Aug. 5, 2012
North Carolina, USA

Stephen Hill, 55, of Nashville, TN, died after a massive heart attack on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012.Surviving are his wife, Kathy Hill and children: Melody, Miriam and Caleb. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, August 13, at Grace Church of the Nazarene near Opryland in Nashville, TN.

Stephen Hill was a gospel singer and songwriter who regularly appeared in Bill & Gloria Gaither’s popular “Homecoming” series of videos, CDs and concerts.

Mr. Hill, who taught at Ben Speer’s Stamps Baxter School of Music in Nashville, was in Lumberton, N.C. for a concert at Antioch Baptist Church, when he suffered the attack.

He performed Friday, Aug. 3, during the “Gospel Legends Reunion” at Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

News of Mr. Hill’s death spread quickly Sunday evening through a shocked community of friends and musicians.

“Stephen was an incredible, gentle man whose presence filled a room,” posted gospel singer Sheri Easter on her Twitter account. Multi-instrumentalist Rebekah Long posted on Facebook, “What a great and passionate, loving soul we have lost.”

Raised in upstate South Carolina, Mr. Hill was known to audiences for his powerful and versatile tenor voice, and to friends as a man of kindness and humor whose favorite quotes came from sources as disparate as Andy Griffith, Ernest Hemingway, Jesus Christ, General Stonewall Jackson and the character of Carl Childers from the movie “Sling Blade.”

Over three decades in music, he collaborated with notables including Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Vern Gosdin, Charlie Louvin, Dottie Rambo, Sam Moore, Marie Osmond and Nancy Sinatra.

Three days prior to his death, Mr. Hill went online and wrote of his own faith, “We can’t judge, and that’s hard. Loving people doesn’t mean changing them. That’s even harder. I hope He gives me a break when I see Him face to face. I also hope that He forgives the mistakes I make in my zeal. Love and forgiveness.”

Hi Natalie, thanks so much for adding the image of Howard Snell's headstone, it is much appreciated and helps add so much information to his memorial. He and his wife and adult daughters are the sweetest people from our church, their losses are tremendous. Have a great day, Helen

Hi Natalie, I wanted to ask if you would allow me to publish a photo you took onto another memorial page? You were so kind as to upload a wonderful photo for my Mrs. June Snell's memorial page (burial in Harpeth Hills, Franklin). Her husband passed away last week and I was wanting to post your photo to his memorial as it reflects both of their names. Of course, all credit would go to you. I know this has been such a devastating year for the Snell's daughters and family members. Helen
