 | RE: Haywood -Marsh Cemetary Ray, I want to thank you for taking the time to go to Haywood-Marsh Cemetery and make the photograph. Perhaps I can get some interest in helping to at least clean up the area. Thank you again, Gary | | | bbarnhill
 | RE: Joel Cooper Ray, The Lambert Cemetery is also called the Worley Cemetery. The Worley is set up on Find A Grave in Hickman County and it has the correct map. I photographed all the readable markers in the Lambert/Worley and did not find a marker for Joel Cooper, there are many stones to worn to read and many graves marked with plain stones. Hope this helps, Bob | | | Private Eyes

 | RE: Haywood -Marsh Cemetary Ray hi, Could not find the picture. Thank you for your time, is it just overgrown and need to cutting? Someone is going to Tennessee I will see if I can get them to contact someone to maybe clean the cemetery. Thanks again I will keep looking for the photo. Gary | | | Record Keeper
 | RE: The Big Swiney Question Thanks, Ray. We may never find these folks. I've been searching everything I could get my grubby paws on for the last 15 years, and have come up empty handed.
My people were really good at turning to the side and vanishing off the face of the primary records; they had a lot of practice. Thanks for trying. Who knows? We may yet get lucky. They have to be somewhere.... | | | Private Eyes

 | Edgar & Charlie Stegall headstone photos & a big Swiney question You've done it again, Ray! Thank you for the photos of Edgar and Charlie's stones.
I have a question for you that is a little off topic, but since you are on the ground in Lewisburg, I'm hoping you may be able to shed some light on a big mystery surrounding my Swiney family.
William Swiney and his wife, Nancy, had a plantation in Marshall County prior to the Civil War, and even afterward, weren't paupers, yet I can find no reference to their burial place. William died between June 25, 1876 - August 13, 1877, and I'm assuming from the will that Nancy died prior to June 25.
Have you ever come across any reference to either of them? It's been maddening. | | | | [View all messages...] |
