Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family research since the late 1970's. I have been associated with the Jefferson County (KS) Genealogical Society, being the organizing President and since served in that capacity two more times. I live in Winchester, Kansas. My wife, Marie and I have been married 62 years. We have four living children, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. My family research interests are many, but especially Riley, Nettleton, Curry and Fulton. We have many ancestors buried in Atchison and Jefferson Counties, Kansas. In addition, I have served the United Methodist Church as organist for the past 50 years and have served the Winchester and Jefferson County North Schools as statistician for over 60 years. I was the Director of the Winchester Public Library at the time the present building was constructed.

Please contact me if you find a direct relative's memorial I manage, and would like to have the memorial transferred. Please include your Find a Grave ID # with any requests. If you find any errors or wish to have me add additional information to a memorial, please let me know.

Angelina stewart
I submitted an edit to link Angelina Stewart's parents. Her brother, Andrew Milligan, was my great great grandfather.

Raymond, would you please remove the extra headstone picture you put on Gary's memorial. There are two from FranzJr there already and appreciate it but don't need it.

Thanks much

Thank You!
Thank you so much for all the pictures for the Braun family memorials in the Doniphan Cemetery. You've completed some family history for me today.

I declined your edit as the information I have from my grandmother and also from an obit say that she died in a Topeka hospital.

Thank you so much for adding the headstone photo for the Spikers at the Holton Cemetery. I was going to do that one of these days, but you beat me to it! Thank you for all you do on Find-A-Grave, and your quick edits to my suggestions.

Albert Harvey Owens # 102776629

I was doing a search on Find a Grave for Albert Harvey Owen in the Ozawkie Cemetery in Jefferson County, Kansas. I found two memorials. Albert Harvey Owen # 16643333 created Nov 14, 2006 and yours Albert Harvey Owens # 102776629 created Dec 29, 2012. Your Memorial appears to be a duplicate. Given the number of Memorials you have created I understand how this could happen. If you could please remove the duplicate I would appreciate it. I also noticed that there is a difference in the spelling of the last name Owen / Owens. Is there a family marker that would confirm the spelling of the last name?

Thank you for your help, and thank you for the work you do documenting Memorials.

The two Geneva Clares
Good spot!

I think she is buried with her second husband, only because that memorial is on a full grave cover. I doubt that would have been placed on a cenotaph.

I left both memorials -- they are both there, obviously, and added a note to each. In a day or so I will ask the editors to designate the Brown memorial as a cenotaph.

So look at the two memorials and see if you think my approach is reasonable. I doubt we will ever know if I am right. That's why those notes are so long.

We can always change it, so don't feel as if I am putting you under a deadline.

Thanks for pointing that out,

Topeka Tom

Rev. Festus Foster, Mount Hope, Topeka
I have added Rev. Foster's obit to his page. Next week when I am back at the library, I'll add the cemetery information to his page and also to Lillie's. I also added the note you sent from the Lawrence paper.
