RE: Nealy Woolworth
Yes, it is very old...much of it was not legible. I walked the entire cemetery and then had to go to the library to see where Woolworth was buried, then piece it together from there. I'm glad I could help!

Scantic Cemetery East Windsor CT
Hi,
I looked on the Hale Listings for Mary Vining d 1746 but her gravestone wasn't found in the 1930's. It doesn't mean she is not buried in this cemetery but her gravestone was not located then or originally never existed. I went to Scantic Cemetery today..found and photographed..some are a little clearer than the gravestone photographs already taken..Samuel, Elizabeth, Olive, Alexander and Lovicy Vining but didn't find Mary Vining.
I have left your photo request up perhaps someone will be able to find her.
Sorry,
Sara

No, Sidney is not on the stone. You can see a complete transcription of Moira Community Cemetery on my website at:

Kathy,

I apologize, that is the wrong headstone. I have removed it from the FindAGrave record. You may have to resubmit your photo request. You might want to mention in the request that it for cremated remains (I saw that in death certificate).

I put in the "note" section of the edit request the reason for declining. The "note" explains the reason for declining. Did you not see that? According to the Torringford Cemetery records at the CT State Library, Hannah is not buried in Torringford Cemetery. Thank you

RE: Seymour and Anna Hopkins
Kathy, I'm glad most of the inscription is still readable. Every time I see a tombstone that has fallen, or is nearly buried or barely readable, it saddens me -- as these are our pioneers who had it so rough in life. I don't know why the counties don't do more to preserve these treasures for those that lie beneath. Thank you for visiting their memorials. My husband takes the photos and we're very glad to provide them.

Regards,
Loretta
