Robert Adair
Please post in bio section for him

Robert D. ADAIR, 1857-1937
President of the furniture company that bore his name, which was one of Xenia's oldest retail stores, he was also president of two different financial institutions, Citizens' National Bank and Home Building & Savings Co. He was born and raised in a suburb of Pittsburgh, and came to Xenia while a traveling salesman for a glass company. Adair and his brother-in-law William Nichols bought out the furniture store of Wilson & Lindsey in 1886, which stood at the same location on North Detroit St. In 1887, Nichols died, and the R.D. Adair Co. was born. Adair's finally closed for good in 1987 after many remodeling projects and an expansion; the building was demolished in 1999. Not only was he in the financial and business worlds, he served on the city board of education for 18 years. 3 sons survived, and a sister; his wife Clarissa died in 1936.

Find A Grave Memorial# 100863213

I am now manager of this record but there is a photo of the wrong grave on the record. The image is of the husband's grave. It will not allow me to delete it. Can you please remove it? Thanks!

RE: Transfer
Not a problem. Wouldn't dream of changing that (I don't think I can anyway).

He is my father-in-law. My request is similar to an earlier message regarding his wife Thelma Elizabeth Capps Edwards. If you will, please consider deleting the SS Death Index information (particularly the SS#) and possibly choosing from these sources for his bio:

1920 Census Butts Co, GA
1930 Census Fulton Co, GA
Marriage: 2 Nov 1940 Butts Co, GA Case File #11552
GA Death Index, 1919-1998
Obit: Jackson Progress Argus, 27 Mar 1985

Thank you for your work with Findagrave and with my family.

Hi Joe- Thank you so much for the transfer. I can never really convey to you how appreciative I am so "thank you" will have to do. Thank you for all you do to make Find A Grave a great place for us all.
