Bio Photo There is a word for men that lose their wives, wives that lose their husbands, children that lose their parents.

There is no word for a mother who loses her child...

How you make others feel says a lot about who you are

If I have created a memorial for a family member of yours, don't hesitate to request a transfer.

Any photo I have posted on Find a Grave is intended to be used.... Please feel free to use them in personal use and documentation.

Searching means finding the other entry, even though it may contain an error and working together means sending an edit.

Links, Corrections, Transfers and/or additional information
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.

Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate. For further information on this, please refer to how Find a Grave handles duplicate memorials.

Lastly and most importantly
There are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

- Hunter S. Thompson

Thank you so much Linda, for the picture of my brother's final resting place. I often imagine him sitting on top of that wall with his buddies checking out the surf on the Pacific. This means a lot to me.

Evelyn Miller
Your memorial for Evelyn is 127078292

Born in Louisville, Miss. a retired bookkeeper, Evelyn was a member of Christ The King Episcopal Church. Her memory will be cherished by those she leaves behind. Her children include: Sharon Turner, Jeff Miller, Janet Richardson, Bert Richardson, Patrice Richardson, Joni Branning, and Jennifer Lenz. Her beloved grandchildren are: Patrick Turner, Mark Turner, Jason Miller, Chloe Miller, Karri McGough, Josh McGough, Bo Richardson, Zack Richardson, Nate Richardson, Jack Branning, Vanessa Garcia and five great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her sisters, Ruby Crowson of Arizona, Bernice Wright, Molly Watson, and Ginger Ezelle, of Mississippi; two brothers Johnny Mac Rogers, and George Rogers, both of Mississippi, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two loving husbands, AD Richardson of 16 years, and Jack Miller of 24; her first child, Anita Ellen Richardson; her parents, Annie Lou and George Thomas Rogers; brothers, Duane Rogers and Roy Rogers; sisters, Lois Hixson, Ruth Womble, and Willa Fant.

Evelyn will be remembered best for her integrity, phenomenal mind, her quick wit, her zest for life, her champion spirit, her charitable heart and her love and total devotion to her family and friends. Special achievements include 10 years work at Miller Guest Homes, Inc., giving special support and counseling, while serving as assistant administrator.

She was the best mother in the world, from the birth of her first child to the time of her death, forever more. Our lovely lady left us brokenhearted but brave. She lived her life with dignity. Nothing can ever fill the void, but we are sustained by faith and all the love and laughter we shared.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 6, at Little Chapel of the Roses, Bonita, Calif. Evelyn was laid to rest beside her husband, Jack, at GreenwoodMemorial Park. In lieu of flowers, it was her request that donations be made to one of the following charities: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; The Cerebral Palsy Foundation; The Leukemia Foundation; The Hemophilia Foundationn; St. Jude's. Published in The San Diego Union Tribune on Oct. 12, 2003.
