The stone in my photo says it all|
"This is Me"
This stone can be found in the Mentor City Cemetery, Mentor Ohio. It is part of a family plot towards the back of the cemetery. There is a main family stone and than this one. It's not the prettiest stone by far but the guy had a sense of humor. I smile everytime I see it.
Now to more Find A Grave stuff.
You know what truly amazes mamaquilts, is how many edits she get stating that she's made a duplicate for a memorial only to find that the person reporting has just created the memorial and then stating hers is a dupe. Really, read the FAQ's. she can tell when a memorial is older or newer. The lower the number the older the memorial. The older the memorial means that it's the org and the newer one is the dupe. Don't ask unless you can prove yours is older. She has reported people who have created dupes and then claimed theirs is the org. not going to happen. Are you prepared to be kicked off of Find A Grave for creating duplicates memorials?
With the changes to edit here on Find A Grave, it is by far easier to make the updates. Please use them.
for transfer of the memorial with a statement as to why you want to have the transfer made (family member, friend, military etc). If it falls outside of the Find A Grave rules, mamaquilts has the last say as to whether or not she'll transfer. She is very accommodating with transfers.
Please remember that most of the people here on Find A Grave are volunteers and do have lives out side of this site. Please wait the 30 days for corrections to be done.
UPDATE: Due to personal reasons and the sudden loss of her Dad in March, mamaquilts has had limited time for Find A Grave. She has currently caught up on all the edits sent since Jan 2014. She will try to maintian the edits sent so there is not another back log. But as stated above, there are personal issues currently on going which may result in edits taking longer than the 30 days.
If you would like to visit her Dad's memorial you can find it here

I was tracking down my grandmother and grandfather and discovered you have them under your contributor ID.
I was wondering if you could transfer to my contributor ID so, I can fill in the missing information. I also have a photo of the headstone and all their timeline information. You can check it out on ancestry.com....

Hi, Lisa. Can you transfer over my great-grandmother's listing to me? My ID is #46952199. Thanks very much. --Julie.
Thank you very much for your dedication of time to this site. Thank you, also, for transferring Anna Blake Mayer's to me so I could connect her with our family.

Thank you. I still can't figure this out but haven't given up. I'm sure the man from 18 yrs ago can't help, so will try other avenues.

I'm curious about your memorial for Oscar Dyer who you say was your GGG Grandfather.
On your memorial, you say that his wife was Hannah Harness Dyer. Several family trees on Ancestry say that Hannah Harness Dyer was the wife of William Dyer and was Oscar's mother. There is a memorial for Hannah Harness Dyer (1780-1847) in the same cemetery as the memorial for William. Her memorial is #126020235; William's is #126019907. Other family trees on Ancestry say that Oscar's mother was Hannah Stump.
Do you have information that can confirm one or the other? I'd appreciate any help you can give to me in solving this mystery.
