Bio and Links
Bio Photo Here are some of the surnames I am currently researching: Smith, Becker, Roberts, Bradley, Baldwin, Strait, Allen, Moore, Hickman, Cook, Martini, King, White, Shumaker, Miller, Stull, Dawson, Anton, Thinnes/Tinnes, Jennings, Lemmon(s), Conkright, Fry, Wilson, Cabiness, Waggoner, and Barry just to name a few.

I'd be happy to transfer memorials as long as the individual is not related to me or my husband.

PLEASE USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION for both update requests and transfer requests or general inquiries about a particular memorial. We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. It makes my day to have someone find one of my memorials and I can transfer them to family.

Belle Barry
Are you related to Belle? If so, would you like the memorial transferred to you?

Thanks!

RE: James Wayne Strait

Hello,

I meant to include a message that the picture
of the marker was Ada-James is listed at the same plot and grave number but only her name is on the marker. Other Straits in Acacia are Clifford 1885-1941, Ethel C 1887-1931 and Nathan Micheal 1982 lived only one day.
Do you want any/all of these?

RE: Copas Cemetery
You are very welcome - This poor, sad burial ground is in a huge mess. We do have survey data and some death cert records, so I was able to figure out which of the two fallen over markers were which. We need a backhoe or similar lifting device to upright those markers, plus the bases must be reset first - plus it is several hundred feet off the road and up a hill. Don't know that we'll be able to get to that, at least anytime soon. I am going to go back and at least clear back some brush so that the markers are at least more visible. I did not have my tools with me that day I photgraphed. I will rephotograph as I can, so check back from time to time. Gordon (CSTNET)

OK; I guess I figured that whoever was managing it could edit it -- wrong again, hmmm? ;)

Thanks.

Find A Grave Memorial# 46106564
This is a collateral family for me, for which I followed bread-crumbs for a cousin.

As I was entering data from Find-a-Grave today, I noticed this:

Siblings:
Jacob H. Hess (1862 - 1923)*
Sarah Ellen Hess Pittman (1868 - 1931)
Samuel A. Hess (1870 - 1924)*
John F. Hess (1875 - 1951)*
Mary Elizabeth Hess Pittman (1920 - 2002)*

I would have preferred a private comm on this, but since it's important, I'll settle for public:

Mary Elizabeth cannot physically be a sibling of Sarah Ellen. -- Sarah Ellen's parents died in 1901 and 1913, so the mother had been dead 7 years by the time Mary E. was born.

I'm not "up" on the family, so I don't know where the problem lies, but figured I should mention it as a problem and potentially misleading to a researcher with more at stake than I have.

Ermine Estes Cabell
Ermine and James Allen Cabell are my wife's great grandparents. Can you tell us where the Cabell Cemetery is located in Barren County? Juanita has always wanted to visit Ermine's grave since she was given Ermine's bracelet and photo as a young child. Ermine and James' son George Samuel was her grandfather.

Thanks.
