"Do not forget to do good to others, and share with them, because such sacrifices please God." Hebrews 13:16|
I'm a genealogy addict who is researching my family lines of Alexander, Barnett, Beard, Boyd, Dunaway, Lambert, McBrier, Mullins, Newman, O'Neal, Pevey, Rutland, Sauls, Sistrunk, Wallace, and Womack.
Many of the memorials that I have created or maintain are my ancestors, family members, or friends.
If you wish to request a transfer of a memorial, PLEASE follow the Find A Grave guidelines.
As I am human and do make mistakes, please feel free to email me with any corrections. My goal is to serve future generations by passing on accurate information.
My sincerest appreciation to those who have created memorials and taken pictures for my family members. I pray God's blessings on you.
Do not stand by my grave and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am diamonds that glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift rush of butterflies in joyous flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

Amy, I appreciate the tranfers.
|Lavinia Ricketts||Greer Cemetery book|
I saw a reference to information that you contributed from the Greer Cemetery book. Can you advise where I might get a copy of this book?
Lavinia Ricketts, descendent of Jesse Greer, Lincoln Co, MS

|Renee Guy||Hogan Family|
Thanks Amy. I will contact my cousin.
Thank you for letting me know.
|Renee Guy||Hogan Family|
I am wondering if you have researched the Hogan Family. I have a distant Hogan cousin that is originally from Vicksburg, MS that would be interested if you have any information you could share.
|Boots Farrar||Tillman R Whithead|
How much do you know about the family of Tillman Whitehead.
Warren Calhoun Whitead son of Tilman (Tillman) Whitehead born about 1810 is my great grandfather, with Tilman my 2nd Ggrandfather. He was born in Chester, So Carolina, I think his father was indentured out as an orphan, not sure. He moved to Georgia then to Benton County Mississippi, where his son Warren Calhoun Whitehead married Sarah Ann Sanders.
This family is a brick wall after Tillman. I suspect that Tillman R Whitehead was an older son of Tillman's.
Can you help
|Susan Rayburn Robinson||RE: Rials|
Amy, There are at least 3 Sarah (aka "Sallie") Rials in the family I'm researching, and I found a document called "Descendants of George Rials" from someone's family tree on Ancestry.com. I wrote down the link to this document, but evidently it's not a direct link that is easily found. This document states the following:
George Rials, b. 1770 SC and d. in MS, married a Sarah Carney, b. 1787 GA and d. 1850 Attala Co. MS.
Two sons of George Rials were Moses, who married a Sarah Carney (so that right there raises a red flag to me);
and another son, Jonathan, who is my 3x-gt-grandfather, had a daughter named Sarah, b. about 1846 MS and married Willie Nations.
Jonathan Rials is the line I'm most interested in. Is there a way to send you a private email?

Hi Amy, I have been out of town for the last week, and I am not sure what questions or comments I sent to you regarding Sarah Rials. Will you please refresh my memory? Thanks so much. Susan

Lavenia Beard Rushing and Uriah Kent Rushing, Sr.ís daughter, Sephronia Elizabeth Rushing Cook, was my 2nd great-grandmother. My grandma told me many years (decades) ago who her grandparents, great grandparents, and great-great grandparents were. My grandma knew Sephronia. It is possible she remembered Lavena Beard Rushing (depending on the exact death date of Lavenia). I wished I would have asked my grandmother more questions. For example, she probably knew where many of those who came before us are buried, who they married, and etc.
I thank you so very much for letting me know we are related and for letting me know that your 4th great-grandmother and my 3rd great-grandma were sisters. Thank you so very much for offering any help.
