Hello everyone - I live in Huron County, Ohio, have three living children, and one deceased as a baby (SIDS). I love genealogy and have been doing it for at least 25 years. Barbara Kane Kolanda|
TRANSFERS: With any findagrave memorial that I maintain, if you are a closer relative than I, I will transfer. If I have no connection and you have some connection (even friendship), I will transfer.
Lives are commemorated - deaths are recorded - families are reunited - memories are made tangible - and love is undisguised. This is a cemetery.
A cemetery is a history of people - a perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today.
It has been said that every person has three deaths.
The first is the actual physical death, when the spirit leaves the body.
The second is when the body is lowered into the grave, never again to be seen in the flesh.
The third and final death comes much later, when all who knew that person have joined him in the afterlife, and the name, even the existence of that person, vanishes from knowledge.

|Jaqi ||Thecla Maurer Yule|
Thank you for the transfer of Thecla Maurer. It's a bit confusing the way the stone is marked and her 2 marriages. I will update it to the best of my knowledge. She is my stepmother's grandmother. We have some obituaries we are working from.

Thank Yor Barb!
Those were my wife's grandparents.
Would you please consider transferring the following two memorials to me, as they were my great grandparents:
Earl Bruning (memorial # 135548211)
Hazel Rees Bruning (memorial # 13558580)
I thank you for your consideration.

Are you a 2nd cousin thru the Leffler side? I have been working on this branch of the Lefflers and would share information. His memorial number is: 104134861 Thank you.
|Janet Mercurio||# 77265410 Joseph Waldron|
I"m wondering if you can tell me anything else about this person other than what's listed on his memorial, please. Looks as if he came to town and died soon afterwards. Do you know anything about his war service? Does the cemetery have any records on him? Do you know how to contact someone at the cemetery?
This person may be the original owner of my niece's house in Massachusetts, built in the 1700's.
Thanks for any info you can offer me.
- Janet (#47912540)
Thank you kindly for the information...I will also add it to our family tree.

Thank you, Dennis

Will do and you're welcome. Rain just plays havoc on some markers. It just started rain when I got there :(
|klassikat||C and L Overmyer|
Hi, I took new pictures today and like them a lot better. Let me know if you would like me to remove the closeup ones that are super shiny. Thanks,
|klassikat||RE: Charles & Lorraine Overmyer|
Hi, You're very welcome. Not sure I like Lorraine's as it looks like my shadow is right over the cross. It was a bit hard to photo them as the rain makes them really shiny. I am going back probably in a week and I'll see if I can get a bigger one. I carry a flag with me all the time too so if it is a military marker, I add the flag and I am a grateful American for those that have served, will serve or gave their lives in defense of our country.
