I have been studying the genealogy of our family for over 30 years. My mother-in-law got me seriously interested in genealogy by giving me the book "History of the Hershey Family" by Scott Funk Hershey. The book traced the history of the Hershey family. She is listed in the book and it followed her direct line, as well as others, back to the 1600's. In addition to Hershey, our family includes the Kellogg, Corrie, Johnson, Nickerson, Cheney, Rees, Poppen and Albrecht families to name only a few, some famous and a couple infamous. We are connected to a lot of families buried in the Wabash Presbyterian Church Cemetery, where my mother-in-law is interred along with her parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. Other family members direct and indirect are interred in cemeteries located in Crawford, Edwards, Lawrence, Richland and Wabash counties in Illinois as well as in South Dakota, New York, Indiana, Kansas, Ohio and other states and countries.

Some of the information/obituaries I post on my memorials, or pass on to other contributors, may be found in the Lawrence County (IL) Public Library's genealogy department.

I am happy to transfer any memorials that are not a part of my family.

I agree. I would have wriiten to ask for the memorial he has been deleting his two
I contactef the cemetery office. He was upset as there are 4 cemerties. None go by Vincennes City Cemetery.

I am only trying to correct. As it is now you can see how many duplicates. I know you have done a lot of work

This happened to us a few years ago

Took me a long time to make corrections. Sorry

Thanks so much for your quick response. We had obtained most of the other information that you mentioned besides Edson but thanks for confirming what we had found was correct!

We will pursue more information from the Mt Carmel library & court house. Again thanks so much for your help!

Hi Roberta,

I was wondering if you could pass on any source information (obituaries, family information, etc) related to my great-great-grandfather. I don't know his exact birth place and wanted to try to obtain a copy of his birth certificate if possible because I am having problems identifying his parents. Any information or locations where I might locate further information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Loretta Gray

I agree that you shouldn't delete your memorial until all your information has been added to the first memorial.

I don't know why some won't process edits; I think they are vital!

Roberta, I have done as you requested, but I couldn't help noticing that your memorial, although entered later, had much more information and links than the original. Are you sure you should delete your memorial? Can you at least send your information to the earlier poster so that it won't be lost? I am not related to this person, but if I were, I would not want all your information to be lost!
