I have visited cemeteries in many Counties in my home state of Iowa:
Polk, Warren, Marion, Adair, Story, Bremer, Kossuth, Monroe, Van Buren, Mahaska, Jasper, Dallas, Boone, Madison, Decatur, Clark, Davis, Washington, Wright, Franklin, Cerro Gordo, Pottawattamie, If I have an ancestor buried there or my husband does, it has been, or will be on my to-do list.
Also I have visited cemeteries in Missouri, and Florida.

****USE THE EDIT TAB on the upper right side of the memorials, then choose the Suggest a Correction feature for transfers or to add information and links.

*Transfer requests should be relatives, this includes siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents

*It is okay to use any of my photo's of headstones, for your family tree.

Riggan Spelling
Hi Roxanne,
Thank you for writing. You have not made a mistake in your spelling of Riggan. In researching the family, I have found several different spellings in the early records including your spelling. In some search engines, the exact spelling is required, so you need to enter all the different spellings. In my family, there are some who spell it differently than others.
Have you ever attended the family re-union? Send me your email address and I will ask the secretary to add you to the mailing list.
It is always good to hear from a Riggan/Reagan/Regan/Riggons, etc. cousin. Happy 4th to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Linda Boyd

RE: Daniel Mather
Thank you - I guess. Frankly, I don't remember what I may have asked and don't know how to preserve messages I might send (including this one), although I know quite a bit about Mather folks. I see that someone else wants me to add them as my friend. I have no idea what they're talking about, what it accomplishes, whether it's a good idea or not, or what I may have said to someone that caused them to ask, and I can't find answers on Find A Grave to my questions, although I recognize the Merrill name in that email Several people, without asking, transferred memorials to me. I have no idea why they did that and I have no interest in maintaining memorials. My interest is solely in correcting misinformation posted by others and adding more information to existing memorials of Civil War soldiers which includes some related genealogy work. I hate to bother the entire website with discussions such as this but it looks like all messages must be public so here I am. I'll look forward to hearing from you and would appreciate it if, when you respond, you remind me of my question since there's apparently no way to preserve questions as there may be with an email string or a question I can save to my hard drive. Thanks for responding to whatever I asked.

Gilbert Cemetery in VB County
A friend is making a map of Van Buren County cemeteries. We need the GPS numbers for the location of Gilbert Cemetery and several others.
Is Gilbert on the north or south side of the Des Moines River? Can you give me any more detailed directions to the cemetery?
Herb Price

PS The photo I use on Facebook was taken in Kilbourn. (I have one friend, my cousin.)

civil war
I am putting togather info on Civil War vets buried in Marion, Mahaska, Lucas, Monroe, Jasper and Warren counties in Iowa. I am gathering service info and obits and pics if I can find them. If you have any suggestions or can help let me know. I am a Civil War reenactor and am putting this togather as a display for public use, at our reenactments and also at the Marion County Historical Society, of which I am a board member.

RE: Aaron Millage
I found a 1900 census that listed an Aaron Millage living in Courthhouse Eock, Cheyenne, Neb., age 62. Do you know if he lived in that area? Just want to be sure of the date. Thaanks-Barb
