|Some of my earliest memories are of going with my mom and visiting cemeteries. We would have bags of seeds and flower bulbs that we would plant on graves. She would choose the grave and we would get down to the business of planting. I often wonder if our plantings were still blooming. I especially remember planting bulbs in the shape of a cross on my grandparents graves.|
As I entered my young teens I worked at a funeral home in Warren, Michigan. What a great job that was, I loved it. No children to care for and I made more money than any of my friends I answered the phone and made arrangements for the body to be transported. Why I never went in mortuary science I will never know.
I am our family historian. I have received so many wonderful family histories for safe keeping. My husband has made many a family DVD's for the different branches on our family tree. One day while visiting with my dad he took me to the barn to retrieve a family trunk. I was so thrilled to open it and find a trove of photos, certificates and personal items. I never knew that trunk even existed.
I am a member of our local historical society and have assisted in many a search for others. I love finding info that had been lost for ages.
I am the mother of two daughters, seven grandchildren and one great grandson. My grandchildren call me Nan. After my great grandson was born I was bestowed the name "Nan the Great". Life is good.

You are so nice to make a memorial page for Christna. I feel blessed to sponsor as many memorials as I can. It is my small way of honoring the deceased and giving others who care the opportunity to add more photos and get rid of the advertisements.

I also posted the same kind of records for the Hodgman's, so you can see if any other family members are at Brookmere, search Helen Losey Hodgman and you will see those as well, I see you spell it with a "e" between the "g" and the "m" in Hodgman, remember in the past they had different spellings as well as someone not being able to spell very good so keep that in mind.
I posted their records tonight too, so you can save them to your computer.

Had to unbury it, one name on each side of stone, reburied it just a bit to protect what's left of the writing.

He is my great uncle. As far as I know, he had no children. What is your interest in him? If none, please transfer him to me.

Blessed to be a blessing. Please know, that I know, the personal struggle of drugs and alcohol.
Thank you for leaving tributes on my ancestors graves

Thank you Susan, for the tribute you left for my Grandmother. It was very kind of you.
No thanks are necessary. I am always glad when family members take over management of memorials. I do apologize for the delay. I've been taking care of some family issues lately. It's taking up more of my time than I thought.
Please feel free to contact me for any future transfers.
