Bio Photo I have been working on my family genealogy for about 26 years and enjoy helping others in the process. What a great website we have here to be able to help others with their research and bringing so many families together in the process.

See the Curtis/s Family Society for all your Curtis/s Family history at:

Under the "EDIT" key: You can Suggest a correction or provide additional information for any entry that I have made. Please send over the Parents and Spouse links on this also. You can also ask for a transfer under the EDIT key, then I have your ID # and can easily do the transfer for you.

I would be happy to transfer ownership of a record that I have added, if they are family and have more information that they would like to add.

Thank you for all the flowers and notes that have been added to the memorials that I have posted.

Re: Evelyn Ostrander/Burns
I always think that when a woman remarries & dies, then that's the name she should have on Find A Grave. When her name is also on her 1st husband's stone, it complicates things!

My feeling is Evelyn should remain under Ostrander (#30878737). That's also the name the cemetery had her under. I'll delete the Burns name (#30778467), then add the Burns stone to the Ostrander one.

What are your thoughts on that?

RE: Mary Ann Bostwick Dunn
I was at the Clinton Confederate Cemetery in Jan. 2014 and Mary Ann is my wife's 2nd great grandmother. The stone you have a picture of was not in the area of the Dunn, Rieley, burials and your memorial states 2007 I think. Perhaps you would like to see my Find-a-Grave memorial on her. If we can clarify the location and date of the stone you show perhaps we could combine to one or I could edit yours. Bob Munroe

Carmichael families
Dear Cheryl,
I am trying to help a friend in the state of Washington find the cemetery where her second husband, William and his first wife, Maryse, are buried. They both were cremated. William died last January 23, 2014 in Georgia. Since my friend knew the Carmichael families had a big plot in the cemetery.
From the names listed in Jackson City Cem., she did recognize the name Thomas Aldine as being her husband's uncle.
Her husband's parents were: Thrasher David Carmichael and Ruth Cole Carmichael. They are also in this cemetery but I did not find their name as being listed.
Anything you can help me with I would appreciate it so much.
Thank you,
Faye Shaw (I live in Spring Hill, TN)

Children of Eli Curtis (#400609410 and Elizabeth Bennett(#74959887)
Do you have any additional information on Anna Fairbanks Curtis, born 19 Nov 1809, Charlton, MA, daughter of Eli Curtis and Elizabeth Bennett? She appears to be the only child not named in the list of their children on findagrave (and, of course, she is my direct ancestor) Anna married William Mills 5 Dec 1824 according to a deposition she made in Monroe County when she filed for divorce for desertion in 1855. It is not clear, but it appears that she filed for the divorce so that she could inherit from her father Eli's estate without her husband being involved.
William and Ann had at least 6 children: Clarinda b 1832 who married James B. Kelley, Elizabeth (my 2nd great grandmother) b 1836, who married David Vance, Margaret J. b 1840, Anna b 1841 who married Wilson Robbins, William N. b 1844 married Mary Campsadela Valentine, and Sarah Jane b 1845 who married Hezekiah Pryor.
The last I find Anna Mills, is 1880 census, Noble, Stock, OH. Anna is 75, living alone, b MA, father b MA, mother b RI.
Did not find her at Curtis Ridge when I walked the cemetery many years ago, but lots of faded stones and ground hog holes.
I have a lot about her descendants and even more about her ancestors, would like to find where shw is buried and if there were any additiona children.
