Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been actively researching genealogy for over twenty years. In my experience, I have ofttimes been surprised to learn just how much misinformation is erroneously passed on from generation to generation via family members.

I make every attempt to carefully validate and cross reference each entry that I record. Being human I will sometimes make mistakes. I welcome anyone who comes into possession of contradictory information to immediately contact me so that together we may arrive at a copacetic determination.

Some of the family names I am researching are Burton, Clinton, Coker, Garrison, Hooper, McClure, Martin, Morgan, Watson, White, and Word.

Please feel free to copy and use any photographs that I have contributed to FAG. No photo credit is necessary. I have a hard time understanding the mindset of those who do not want to share freely the photos of loved ones. It isn't as if these individuals aren't the bona fide relatives of countless other descendants. It would be different if someone walked into their house with a gun and robbed them of the original prints. They're only copies! Lighten up folks!

****The Clock Of Life ****

The clock of life is wound but once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.

To lose one's wealth is sad indeed,
To lose one's health is more,
To lose one's soul is such a loss
That no man can restore.

The present only is our own,
So Live, Love, toil with a will --
Place no faith in 'Tomorrow' --
For the clock may then be still.

RE: Emma
I think Emma is Emma B. Chambers, daughter of John Chambers b. in Tennessee, and his wife Sarah A., born in South Carolina. They are in the 1880 US Census living in Rabbit, Calhoun County, Alabama. The same place Lucinda Cordelia Morgan lived. Emma married John H. Morgan on 24 September 1876 in Calhoun County, Alabama. Since Emma died in August of 1877, she could have died in childbirth. Just a guess, though. I don't know what happened to John H. Morgan..still looking for him after 1877. The headstone could be missing the part of the B. or the headstone maker made a mistake. It has happened before.

RE: Cordelia
Oh! I'm glad you caught that! You are so right! Cordelia was Mote's sister, not Samuel's. I'll make the correction! Sorry about the consfusion, and yes, it appears we are cousins! I descend from Samuel Sr.(Nancy Hill), Jonathan (Christiana Gardner), Samuel Floyd (Martha Ledbetter), Lucinda Cordelia (Henry Signs), Myrta Adelaide Signs (Ernest Poe), Winston Poe (Barbara Hadfield), Me. I think it's a few removed, but the bloodline is still in there somewhere!

Dear Alana Morgan,

I'm sorry I had not replied until now to your message about the photo of Robert Edwin Harper and his wife Mildred Estes Harper. I have just now seen it.

Thank you for pointing out my mistake. You're right, I had typed his middle name Edwin for Mildred's surname. I've now corrected the mistake. I appreciate your letting me know about this.

The Atlee Family
Just wanted to say thanks for taking the photos of the Atlee family stones in the Forest Hills and Chattanooga National cemeteries. It really helped me to get the relationships cleaned up. And that wide-shot of all the graves with every stone labelled? You are just a genius! Thank you so much!

just because
Dear Alana,

I read your bio and that I did not need to credit you for photo of headstone request but just wanted to Thank You for taking time to go out to Forest Hills Cemetery and take a grave site photo for Hartwell H Shinault Schenault. It was no surprise he did not have a headstone/footstone.

May you be blessed for the work you do for those unknown to you.
