Bio Photo I'm Carolyn. I am 27, and came from Kansas, originally. I am disabled due to Fibromyalgia. I like helping or contributing to whatever I can. I am single; it's just Finn The Cat and I. I have interests in history, writing, photography, genealogy, art, different cultures, and love animals.
I originally joined this site because I liked the idea of making sure people that walked this earth before us, had somewhere where they could be found and remembered. Though after the loss of my grandmother that I was very close to, and combining it with the loss of a friend that took his life, Find A Grave became a haven to me. I do a lot of grieving here, and this has opened me up, and made me want to pay respect and help in remembering as many people on here as I can. No-one should be forgotten.

Thank you to those of you with huge hearts that have left my loved ones flowers, even when I am not able to be on here daily like before. I am in the middle of working on goals of mine, been busy with my nephew's graduation stuff, a lot going on, and severe weather here. My brother did end up with a funnel cloud sucking his car in, but thankfully he got free and is ok.

If you have time, please stop by and see my grandmother, Nadine; my grandfather, Bert; and my friend, Adam

Also, there is my sister-in-law's father, Mike, that died of aggressive Cancer, recently.

My paternal grandfather, Carl, that passed away in 2011 from Cancer that went to his brain, after years of battling. And my great-grandma, Wilhelmina "Minnie" (she was a centenarian; she was nearing 102-years-old when she passed away in 2002)

Aunt Maggie McCutchan - she had a very sad life

Dorothy McAdam Dorothy McAdam gets very few flowers; she is a victim of suicide. Dorothy's daughter made her memorial, but her daughter has passed away since then.

If anyone has a decent bit of free time, the Auschwitz holocaust victims could really use some flowers. I have been trying to get some done, myself. Most of these people and children have only a couple flowers, or none at all.

If anyone needs a photo of a grave from Maxwell cemetery, just let me know. I just live a few blocks away, so it'd be no problem.

At the moment, I can mostly just help with grave photos from Maxwell cemetery in Maxwell, Story county, Iowa. I can sometimes help with Woodland cemetery outside of Maxwell.

If I have added anyone's family, please let me know and I will gladly transfer it to you - it doesn't matter to me how distantly related you are to the person. I feel it's only right that people should have their family and ancestors' memorial records. I think the point of this should be to preserve history and the people in it, give people a place to pay respect to their family, and give families infomation of their family history. I do not believe it should be about owning the most memorials, or having the highest amount of entries. I would hope that others would pay me the same courtesy.

Feel free to use the photos I've taken and added, but I'd appreciate it if you cited me; it also helps to use citation, if you are using the photos for research. Thank you

RE: Hope you're feeling better
Hi Carolyn,
Thanks for the good wishes and prayers.
The new drug works very well so far, my blood levels have stabilized.

The name Achilles is very well known in northern Germany.
In my hometown in Jerxheim there was also a family Achilles.

Best regards from germany

Hello to you and Finn,

I was thrilled to help you with a couple of photos. I try and go each day or every other day and take photos unless the wind is blowing 90 to nothing and the dirt is, of course, in the air! So many of the monuments in our older cemetery, Mission Garden of Memories, have been "sanded" by all the blowing dirt and sand. We're taking photos as fast as we can to help preserve our legacies.

Have a beautiful day, lady bug!

You are welcome, glad to help.

I don't know if you would like a copy of her obit, but if you go to www.yellcountyobits.org & go to Site Index, you will find it. There is also a nice photo & article about her.

Dear Carolyn:

I determined some time ago after reading your profile you were a special member so I decided to remember your relatives. I very much appreciated your most charming message. And I am really glad you are able to do so many important things! However, I don't envy you the driving lessons and always be most careful.

I hope your life from here is a sunny one and all the sadness of this world though causing tears will be drops for a faraway ocean.

May God bless you with quiet lasting joy!

Timothy.

EASTER WISHES
I wish you and your family a wonderful Easter. May the true meaning of this special season be real to each of you. May your day be filled to over flowing with love and blessings from above.

As we celebrate Easter, may we be reminded of the true reason for this special time. Thanks to Calvary – Jesus Christ - we can have everlasting life. By His life we are made humble, by His death we are saved and by His Spirit we can have everlasting life.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

I appreciate each one of you. You have been a blessing in my life.
Thank you, Maggie

RE: =)
Hi Carolyn, I am so sorry to be so behind on my messages, hope that you are feeling ok...we are getting rain, which Cali this way doesn't get much - I love rain, but it sure does make me and Gannon sick. =( So we go for rides in it and keep our Q-Var pumps in our little fists, every time my friends take us to the ocean, we'll be wheezing and gasping but going, "Oh, gasp, we are-gasp, having-gasp! such a good time!" ha! I miss the mountains of Colorado and Montana, but for the same reason, we literally couldn't stand living there...I remember getting really sick in Aspen, and they decided that they were going to airlift me down to Denver - I was squeaking "No, no, don't take me higher, not thinner air, please!" ha! So, no rain, no high altitudes, we just hang around as blah weather as we can find....re the highlights, well, yes, I saw your photo looks nice, but I thought that you were the one having trouble trying to highlight names on your profile page because the line of letters and symbols was never right??? Maybe it was Sherry Reynolds, I will have to check with her, but at any rate, glad to see your pages getting a couple of more visits. I'm not on here much right now, but I do pass your name along...anyhow, take good care and tell Cat hello, and stay in touch - Hugs, RCP and Gannon
