Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello fellow gravers, genealogists and historians! I'm a mom of 4, working on my extensive family tree while photographing headstones to pay forward all the efforts made on my relatives' behalf. What a weird hobby we've got going! Have I ever seen a ghost at a cemetery? No, but plenty of wildlife! I do believe I've been 'assisted' many times in finding graves where I didn't know their locations.

I always try to get the best photo but if you come across one of my photos that you'd like redone I would certainly do that if I think I can improve on it. If you should find one of my photos on your family members' memorial that has not been cleared of debris or is dirty I'd like the opportunity to redo it if it's in my area so please let me know about it. I was probably in a hurry and not sure if the stone already had a photograph. I would also be happy to remove mine if another person gets a better image such as one in better light or the stone has undergone restoration and looks substantially better or cleaner. I will also do requests outside the claim system for eastern Twin Cities area cemetery. As you can see, very few of my photos were requests so when I make a trip to any cemetery I like to take as many photos as I can.

If you want to use one of my photos on other ancestry sites you have my permission as long as you are not planning on making money off of them. You should feel free to crop or edit them as you see fit, as if they were your own. I like to show as much of the setting as possible in the photo but I will crop them down if you would prefer. If you want a high res copy you can message me and I will e-mail it to you. It's always nice if you credit that the photo is from find-a-grave since it's a good idea to include a source for all photos when doing genealogy.

I only create memorials because I want to post the photo and there was no memorial made yet. If you want control of any of mine, please ask. Also, be respectful of the work of the contributors to this site and do not create duplicates. If you forgot to do a simple search, do the right thing and delete that duplicate. Consider it a lesson learned. Lastly, if a contributor has found and/or photographed your relatives grave, why not drop them a note of thanks for their efforts? The deceased cannot give thanks but the living can.

RE: Harold Skinner
Ok. Thank you. I live in New York but come to MN every summer to visit my son and family. While here the grandchildren & I try to fulfill some of the requests. They love doing it. I never know when I will get out so we will leave this one alone. Thanks for getting back to me.

Harold Skinner
Hello,

I was fullfilling some requests for Fort Snelling Cemetery. I thought I could possibly help with the stone of Harold Skinner. There is no stone yet but there is a marker. I don't know if it would be helpful but we did get a picture of it.
