Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching since 1992. Geraldine McKinnie Weir (1932-2002), my father's cousin, taught me so much about genealogy. I really miss my dear cousin and friend Geraldine. In 1994, Geraldine helped me become a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. I now have 13 DAR ancestors, and I established two of the ancestors. My DAR ancestors are John Cole, Jesse Cook, John Garrard, William Barron, John Barron, 2nd Lt. Miles Gathright, Ensign Walter Poole, Major Croom, Zadock Bussey, George Bussey, Josiah Norris, James Patrick and Captain James Green.

In 1993, Geraldine found our Mayflower ancestors Stephen Hopkins and Giles Hopkins. Stephen Hopkins was a Signer of the Mayflower Compact. Stephen Hopkins was also to Jamestown, Virginia before his voyage on the Mayflower in 1620. On the voyage to Jamestown, he was shipwrecked in Bermuda with John Rolfe. In 1999, I became a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. I also joined the Jamestowne Society. I am a member of nine lineage societies. My ancestor for United States Daughters of 1812 is James Norris. Lt. William Smithson is my ancestor for Dames of the Court of Honor. I am also a member of Colonial Dames XVII Century, Daughters of the American Colonists, CSDIW and Pioneers of Arkansas.

I am also very interested in German genealogy. I have ordered a lot of microfilms of actual church records at the Family History Center. The Germans kept great records. I have all of my German families back to the 1600's and 1700's with some of the lines going back to the 1400's and 1500's.

I am on FIND A GRAVE because I want to help others with their research. I also want to link my ancestors with their children.

Hollis Cemetery Near Marion, LA
Hi,

Can you give me directions to the Hollis Cemetery either from Marion or from Monroe? All that is shown on Find A Grave is that is it 4 miles south of Marion - no road or hwy info or turns are shown. Lat/Long coordinates or turn by turn directions would be great. I live in Atlanta and I am visiting the area next week and want to go visit this cemetery. I would greatly appreciate some detailed directions if you can provide.

Thank you.

William Hollis

Sallie Bussey Andrews
Hi long lost relative! It looks like we're both descendants of Sallie Bussey Andrews, my grandfather's grandma. My grandpa, a son of Mattie's, will be 90 this year and he's been enjoying the pictures that you've posted. The whole family gets a kick out of seeing which features we've inherited from who. It looks like my the pictures of your grandfathers siblings were cropped from an original. I think my grandpa would love to see that or any other information you could pass along. Hope you and yours are in good health, thanks for contributing! kaitlinoneil(at)gmail(dot)com

Kittie Wasson Williamson
I added the tombstone for Almagro Williamson, but did not add the photo to Kittie Williamson because the date on the tombstone is different from the date on the memorial. Please let me know if this is the same person and I'll add the photo to her memorial.

John S. Zollars
You have a memorial for John S. Zollars in Spring Hill Cemetery in Martin County, Indiana. I have been there and could not find the grave. Today, by chance while looking for someone else I discovered that he is in Waggoners Chapel Cemetery. I'll send you a link and you can check it out for yourself.
