Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired Paralegal, wife, mother of two great sons and grandmother of three wonderful grandsons. I live in beautiful North Idaho in Coeur d'Alene.

I am a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (Governor William Bradford), Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames XVII Century and Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers.

I have always been fascinated by cemeteries and the stories that were told by the headstones that were placed on the graves of a loved one.

God bless those Pioneers who forged the way!!

Mary Esther (Pigg) Anderson & Warren Frank Anderson, Co. K, 86th Illinois
Colleen, I don't know if I have ever written to you before about this or not, but I am trying to locate photographs of all of the men who served in Co. K of the 86th Illinois during the Civil War. Warren Frank Anderson was a Private in Co. K of the 86th. You have added a wonderful picture of Mary Esther (Pigg) Anderson, his wife, to her site. Have you ever seen or heard of a picture of Warren Frank Anderson? If you have, I would love to see a copy of it added to his site. Any help or suggestions that you may have as to who I might contact about a photograph would be great appreciated. Sincerely, Baxter B. Fite III

Thank you Colleen! I ran into the same wall of missing information, would the county health department have a death certificate that would give the disposition of his remains? It is entirely possible that if he was cremated, that his cremains were scattered, which would account for a lack of a cemetery listing.

I apologize for not answering your message about the mood family and a family tree listing for you. I have not posted one on Ancestry just yet, I have a GEDCOM file I am constructing with a stand-alone program that I will post in a relatively short time frame, as my family sleuthing goes on.

I have relatively little on the Mood Family, as it seems that for the most part, my dad was rather estranged from Claude most of his life. I only met him two times before his passing.

I am hoping to find an obituary on Jesse, and hoping to find some children that are living, which might be able to fill in some blanks.

It is likely that with knowing where to get a death certificate, I can expand on details accordingly. I will keep you in the loop, I promise! Thank you for all of your good work, Colleen! :-)

Yes, I expected students to follow instructions. So let me answer the question you didn't ask; when that happened I did not credit the faulty work and gave students the opportunity to complete the tasks properly. When that was done we moved on. As a side note, I rarely accepted minimum quality work.
To validate: I am listed in multiple who's who in education type volumes, have co-authored teaching materials, was at one time one of 5 Master Teachers in the world of a Foreign Language teaching strategy, have been named Teacher of the Year in my school district and Teacher of Excellence in the county where I taught.
As for my mistakenly creating duplicate memorials and resisting your instruction to delete them my work was ultimately discredited, Find A Grave justifiably merged my pages with the original creators' pages. However, I am given the opportunity to complete the work I started according to proper processes and have just about accomplished the transfer of the memorials of my close relatives as well as others.
Apparently, the only thing that keeps us from moving on is your apparent need to punish me further by refusing to transfer my uncles' and aunt's memorials, 3 out of the several thousand you now manage, and 3 people who are in no way related to you.
I appreciate that you have transferred my grandparents, the minimum required by Find A Grave.
Again I ask you to transfer the memorials of my uncles and aunt and we can both move on.

Can't deny most all of what you wrote. However, it is still hard to understand why you would deny my transfer requests for uncles and an aunt, people who are only known to you as names on a grave marker in a cemetery in a area you left as a small child. These three memorials I have requested are people we knew, loved, and valued. I did not intentionally disrespect anyone and have owned up to my mistakes.
You are the only person who has refused my transfer requests. Makes one wonder about motivation.

We still hope you will send the memorials to us.

Transfer of memorials
I attempted to send this message to the email address listed at your page at Find A Grave but it did not go through.
Thank you transferring the memorial for my grandparents and great grandmother. Can I expect that you will be kind enough also to transfer the memorials for my uncles and aunt (Martin Francis Lynch, Clarence Lynch, Charlotte Hannant Lynch)? It would be greatly appreciated since they are close family members to us but not to you?

Transfer of memorials
In accordance with Find A Grave policy I am requesting transfer of the memorials of my direct ancestors.

"If the memorial in question is a direct relative within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents) to you and the original submitter is not direct family, then they must transfer the memorial. If they refuse to transfer your relative to you, contact and we will work on it for you."

Nancy Ann Bunch Lynch
Joseph John Lynch
Emily Ellen Sanders Bunch

Also please transfer the memorials of my uncles and aunts.

Clarence Lynch
Martin Francis Lynch
Charlotte Marguerite Hannant Lynch
