Bio Photo I have been taking photos of tombstones for years. I am working on getting all the photos that I have on disc of Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville put on Find A Grave. I will be glad to transfer any memorial, just request.

I only transfer memorials when they are no relation to me. If they are family, it is why they have a memorial. I am sorry if I upset anyone.

Find a Grave transfer
After I sent the request to transfer I did further research and I do not believe this is Mary E Farlow.I believe this is Mary E (Denton)Larkin see
# 138924426 and I changed the memorial to reflect this. Let me know if you want me to transfer back to you. I will transfer to anyone asks me.
Thank you Melissa #47943707

RE: Transfers
Thanks. Unfortunately, I did not get to know some of the relatives on my wife's side that well, or the younger ones on my sides, since I joined the Air Force in 1965 and stayed in until retiring in 1988. So we were not around the families all that much since 1965.

Betty (ID# 138046811) was my wife's cousin. She was the sister of Marcella Jeisy who you already transferred to me.

Thomas Kiley
Dear Denise, Thanks to you I have found my Great Great Grandfather Thomas Kiley who died Mar 10, 1914. Would you by chance have access to the cemetery records to see who purchased the plot or might be buried near or next to him? Any family name attached to the cemetery records would be a helpful clue. Thomas Kiley was the Jockey who rode atop Spokane, the famous KEntucky Derby winning race horse of 1889. I descend from the owner of the horse and the Jockey. We lost track of Thomas Kiley and have had such a hard time finding him. One newspaper clipping we have says that he died on March 11, 1914 in East St. Louis, Illinois. This is how we know you have our Thomas Kiley. This cemetery is too close and the death date and name are more than coincedence. Thank you, Thank You, Thank you. Jacoby

Thank you for searching for his tombstone. No rush, but next time you are at the cemetery, could you take a photo of the area where he is supposed to be buried, possibly with some ID like another stone or tree in the photo? I will mark his memorial that there doesn't appear to be a stone, but sometimes it is nice to have that kind of photo to see where it might be.

Would you be willing to do a rubbing of the tombstone for me? Here is what I have in mind. If you lay a piece of aluminum foil shiny side down on the stone and then rub over the foil with a bristled brush, I have had very good success is reading weathered markers. See memorial 62707873 for an example of this technique.
