 | RE: Larry Cohen Sorry, I don't have any additional information about Larry. I hope you can find more! | | | Mark Russell
 | Hi Jeff Hi Jeff Yes I was in a brief correspondence with Jonathan Goodman. A very nice man and sadly missed. Yes, I recall seeing your name in his Starr Faithfull book. That was another great book. I also have a few of Jon's anthologies which include your contributions - Masterpieces of Murder 'Killer in the Rye' and The Supernatural Murders 'Amityville Revisited.' I have never believed the CIA responsible for the assassination of John Lennon. I think it is another one of these ridiculous conspiracy theories! Best regards, Mark | | | Mark Russell

 | HI Jeff I had created memorials for each of these men but seems the administration deleted them. I'm sorry. They asked me to delete them but the family was the ones that wanted to take them over. I wont put them up again. Thanks any way Alisa | | | Just Another Woman of GOD

Thank you so much for your time spent remembering these men. They have not yet been delivered to NY, and their famailies are still in shock. Your kindness is greatly appreciated. Alisa | | | Just Another Woman of GOD
 | Hello We just lost four men in Afghanistan that are NY guardsman. Two of the bodies have not yet arrived here in NY for burial. I have made a memorial and thought you might like to know. Please keep our men and woman in prayers that are in war. Your always so kind and supportive. If you could leave a message, I am sure their families would be given some comfort in this very hard time.
Thanks so very much, Alisa | | | presidential historian
 | Famous Ossining-ites Well, for starters, we have the multiple Emmy Award winning actor, Peter Falk, aka Columbo. OHS Class of 1945. My aunt was in his class. The late Pulitzer Prize winning author John Cheever lived in the Town of Ossining. The late Academy Award winning actor Jose Ferrer (George Clooney's uncle by marriage) lived here. The Gershwin Brothers had a Summer House here in Ossining in 1927. The oldest (at the time of his death) major league baseball player -- Chet Huff -- who played for the Highlanders (circa 1914). The Highlanders were the forerunners of the NY Yankees. Born in 1891, died in 1998 at the age of 107. Our Town Supervisor, John Chervokas, who just had to step down after 10 years in the office, due to Parkinson's Disease, was an advertising man throughout his career, and he is credited with one of the most successful advertising slogans in history: "Please don't squeeze the Charmin." By the way, this was my sixth abdminal surgery in nearly seven years. My first, was a double header -- removal of a grapefruit sized tumor on my adrenal gland that was pressing up against my spleen PLUS the Gastric Bypass. An 11 1/2 hour affair, 29 days in the hospital, and an 18 1/2 inch incision that took six months to heal. Thank you for your good wishes. They mean a lot.

 | John Hoffman Dear Mr. Bloomfield, Thank you for alerting me to this new book, I will be anxious to read it and delve into the life of Governor Hoffman. Who is the author/publisher? I wrote this article when I was Village Historian for the Village of Ossining, NY. DeWitt Clinton and John Hoffman were the only two men to hold both the Mayorality of New York City and the Governorship of New York State. There is speculation (or, at least there was speculation before last week's gubernatorial scandal) that NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg (sic) might be interested in running for governor. I am presently recuperating from major surgery...complete reconstruction of my abdominal wall and replacement of my hernia mesh. Thank you for making my day!
