It is important that we remember those who have lived before us for they have, in many ways, prepared us for who we are today.|
Family names Lark, Dee, Heiman, Housman, Loper.
I have a very special spot in my heart for veterans and members of law enforcement. I believe it is important to support our police officers and troops.
I believe every memorial should have a virtual flower. When I see one without, I add one; it's an honor to leave my respects. That person was once loved and cherished by someone, somewhere.

Your memorial for her has a pretty good bio/obit. Are you a relative? My question is if you know any more about Virginia DeVan and Janice Thomas? According to some family records her husband Raymond and his first wife Helen Armstrong nee Peters had two daughters who survived, Janice Rae and Virginia, who were apparently adopted out to Samie and Lana King about 1940 and were apparently given the names Laura and Shirley King.
The inconsistent thing is Laura married an ELLIOT and Shirley married a Paczkowski.
I am quite confused about this.
These daughters would be my 2nd cousins from their RESLER side, Helen's mother's side.

|Joan Pacitti||Officer Ramos' memorial|
Hi Kat: Got your message. I guess it's hard to imagine this turmoil in your home town.
I'm so sorry that these police officers were killed. Sometimes I wonder why anyone would want to be one.

I was going through Officer Ramos' memorial and was looking through the remembrances people have left. Yours was beautiful. He does belong in Heaven and I believe he is there.

I am researching my famly tree, the Ess/Thomson line. My Great Grandfather was William P. Ess. I can find records that has his wife as Pearl Pocanhanas with 3 different last name spellings. They are Barslowe, Barsloue, and Barslove. The second to last letter is the difference. This can be very hard to read on some census records. Also, my records has her father as John J or Joseph. The John J could be John Joseph. I do know that William P. Ess was her first husband and Frank Wahl was her second husband. I will continue to research this last name issue and will update you once I get an answer. Thanks, Joe Lerch
Sending sincere thanks and appreciation for your help and kindness. joyce

Been trying forever to find my great-grandmother grave site. She died way before I was born so I never got to meet her.
Thank you for visiting my mom's memorial page and for leaving the lovely token and kind words. Such a beautiful baby in the picture with your mom. Many blessings to you and yours always. Michele.

I just check for posted photo requests on Find A Grave. I am on the Board of Directors for St Trinity and am at the cemetery frequently. I also have access to the interment records and can therefore locate graves more easily.
It is a Painted Bunting and they really are that colorful in real life! I had my first one at my feeder this past winter. For years, I had to go looking for them in my area. Not sure where you live but here is their range map: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/painted_bunting/id
