Are all the Children In?

I think oft"times as night draws nigh
Of the old farmhouse on the hill.
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will.
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
"Are all the children in?"

Tis many and many a year since then,
And the house on the hill
No longer echoes to children's feet,
And the yard is still......so still.
But I see it all,the shadows creep,
And though many years have been
Since then,I can still hear Mother ask,
"Are all the children in?"

I wonder if when the shadows fall
On that last short, earthly day,
When we say good-bye to the world outside,
All tired from our childish play.
When we step out into that Other Land
Where Mother has long since been,
Will we hear her ask, just has of old
"Are all the children in?"

McRee's of the Soddy-Daisy, Hamilton, TN area
You are most welcome. One of the many projects here at STAFA is to link and sponsor the memorial's of the descendants of Jane (Craighead) and William McRee Jr of the Soddy-Daisy, Hamilton, TN, on Find A Grave. Find A Grave website is one of our many tools. When we have confirmed a link (Federal Census; State Census; birth, marriage, death records; Church records; all other records; and walking of cemeteries, near and far, we make the link (if we are the memorial maintainer) or request the maintainer (such as you) to make the link.

Thanks

Charles

Parham Cemetery/Webb
Have another question. You added Dauca Webb born & died 1902 to the Parham Cemetery. I have connected all the Webbs but I can't figure out who this one belongs to. Can you tell me or do you know?
