I am a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, we dress in the Victorian time 1800's. We meet once a month and we strive to preserve the memory of the soldiers of the War Between the States (Civil War). We do grave marker ceremonies (mark the grave w/tomb stones) ,and we tell about the dresses of the Victorian age. We give medals to current and past soldiers.
We have different events district meetings but I love what I do and to teach people all about this time era.
I also am the President & chapter registrar when someone wants to come into the chapter I trace your family back to an ancestor that was in the Confederate side of the war. I have track down census, birth certificates, death certificates, marriage license for every generation.

That cemetery is deep in the forested area of what is today the Harrison-Crawford State Forest. It is accessible primarily by foot or horseback and, consequently, the cemetery does not appear to be maintained regularly. On my visit last week, there was one large sycamore tree down that literally blanketed the northern third of the small cemetery. The remainder of the cemetery was overgrown with weeds and brambles, making it difficult to see the stones. I had last visited the cemetery back in 2011 when it was in better shape. On neither visit did I see recognizable stones for John or Elizabeth Crecelius.

Thank you for fulfilling the stone photo request; it is greatly appreciated. I made a memorial for her husband, Howard (# 86933195) but since I cannot read your stone photo (and it will not enlarge for me) I am unable to get his dates. Please look on your original photo let me know what his date are--THANKS. Have a blessed day!
