I'm a Homesite Acreage REALTOR in Montgomery County, Texas...working on my Family History when I can...joined F-A-G not long ago and have already had alot of success, I think this is great and would like to applaud all involved!

I am also a Member of the Class of 1979 at St. Frederick CHS (Go WARRIOR'S!) in Monroe, La., and have begun a new project...gathering F-A-G info for all our deceased ALUMNI....and would like to THANK all my fellow WARRIORS for any assistance!!

NO WARRIOR LEFT BEHIND!

...and now I've been vol-recruited by the 75th Ohio Inf (yep, YANKS!), to help get all members of the original CW Regiment located &/or memorialized! This was the unit in which a GGGrand-Uncle, Capt. Thomas J. Wheeler (#22988649) served with until his death in 1863...he died of multiple GSWs inflicted on the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg!

NO WARRIOR LEFT BEHIND!

On 1/19/2011 my father, CMDR Thomas J. Powers passed away suddenly....upon hearing the news I immediately sat and began his Memorial (Find A Grave Memorial# 64427239) which I posted to F/B as I was unable to speak of it on the phone. He was very proud of the work I had been doing on Ancestry & F-A-G, both for the Family...and for the "forgotten" CW Vets! He had just visited "Chancellorsville" the day before his death and purchased 2 books for me there, one was "The Last Days of Thomas J. 'Stonewall' Jackson"! RIP Dad.

SUMMER 2011...Frank & Jesse James CAPTURED!

In my TREE!!! My Dad died suddenly in Jan, leaving a lot of unanswered ???s on his maternal side as his mother had died just after his birth, and her mother died when she was only 4, and her mother, when she was 22....3 generations all died young in Ark, away from the Old Kentucky Home!!? Then a 2nd cousin of Dads found me thru F-A-G, who provided a lot of new info that sent me up several of his "lost" maternal lines and resulted in several surprises such as his GGG-Gpa was GEN Jesse Cole Lindsay (KY Militia)! I was excited with this till I discovered his sister was the Grandmother of FRANK & JESSE JAMES....making me their 2nd (4x's) Cousin!!! Then also there was my GGG-Uncle, COL John Anthony Lindsay (CSA-Ark), #75652636, who served GEN Sterling Price in the 1864 MO Campaign as his Guide!!! I finally found those REBELS in the woodpile I've been in search of all my life...in SPADES!!! Iiiiiiieeeee!!!

My Dad never knew any of this....DA*N!

Jesse James uncle George Hites family.
I am looking for variations of spelling, such as Hitt. Are Hitt/Hite, the same family? Miriam Hitt is a 4thg-grandmother of mine. Granddaughter of 1714, immigrant to Virginia, Peter Hitt.

Hi Vince,
I can't thank you enough for the invaluable work you are doing. Lafayette Faris is my great grandfather. I added pictures of him but thank you for finding the grave.

C A Brasier
Hey Vince! Question for u about CA. Where did u find him? A friend and i probed the entire cemetery and never found his stone. We found 15 other Brasiers but not him. I also have not been able to find anything about him at all. There is a lot of info on John Brasier who was in the 75th OVI and his family. I cant even find a mention of C. A. Brasier on the official roster list of the 75th that i have. I would love to hear anything u have about him. And also any info u had on him being buried in Antioch cemetery in Preble County Ohio. And i also find it odd that he has the exact birthdate of John. I thought that they mightve been twins but all info i have on that family states that John was the only child that survived to adulthood. The stones at the cemetery back it up. Cant wait to hear from u! Im very interested to hear ur info! P. S. I added a photo to John Brasiers memorial. We dug out the other half of his headstone and took a photo of the whole thing. Its definitly worth seeing.

Edits for A. M. Key, Barton Cemetery
Vince,

The source of the edits I entered for A. (Albert) M. Key was "Headstone provided for deceased Union Civil War Veterans.

The cemetery was simply listed as Leitchfield, Ky, but "Ky Batty" was listed as his company on the application.

Hi! Regarding your photo request, can you please contact the cemetery and obtain the Section, Lot, and Grave Number information, and then post it to your request? Please also ask if there is a grave marker and add that information to your photo request and/or memorial. The Find A Grave FAQs state the photo requestor is responsible to provide this information.

Elmwood Cemetery: (708) 453-0273

This cemetery provides extremely limited assistance to photo volunteers with finding a grave's location. Last year I was able to fulfill almost 200 photo requests at Elmwood through this process. Because the lots in this cemetery are poorly marked, almost no one else ever photographs here. I have only had success here because I have spent literally weeks at a time to learn the intricacies of the layout of this cemetery.

Thank you for helping me to help you.

John Graves
Cave Hill does not have a listing for John Graves, buried in 1903. Could it be John Otho Graves, buried 1902?

John Patton
Hi: I was looking for photo requests in Centre Co, PA, and saw yours for John Patton. Is he the Revolutionary war patriot buried in the Old Pine Mills Cemetery? Here is the link: http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=patton&GSfn=john&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSst=40&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=51003786&df=all&. Also the cemetery has a marker with his name on it. Happy Hunting!
