Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am researching the Crigger family tree including the numerous variations of the surname.

I have a tree on ancestry.com as grant l crigger.

I use this tree for researching my family and the Elk Pond Krieger family. The Elk Pond Krieger families arrived in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on 9-5-1732 on board the ship 'Loyal Judith' and eventually moved to Virginia.

Interesting facts I have discovered are; Although I have a German surname I am not German. My DNA results show that I am 49% Great Brittan (English, Scottish and Welsh), 25% Scandinavia, 14% Iberian Peninsula and 11% Ireland. Obviously, my ancestors from Germany were Vikings who invaded the German coasts and stayed. Krieger is the German word for warrior. I deduce that my Vikings ancestors worked as warriors for the local leaders and over time assume the Krieger name as their surname. DNA from my half brother, 1st cousins, uncles, etc., confirm our mutual genetic origins.

Paternal surnames;
Crigger, Woods, Hoge, Leonard, Bracher, Gullion, Wyrick.

Maternal surnames;
Smith, Roberson, Bristo, Lowery, Vernon, Fuqua, Robertson, Shirley, Monroe.

Father 94124864
Mother 104370593

I have started researching the Pine Ridge Krieger family and I have a tree on ancestry using that name. The Pine Ridge Krieger families arrived in Pennsylvania on 9-9-1765 on board the ship 'Chance'. About 1777 they moved to Wythe Virginia.

For my sketch of the WW I soldier (in volume 13 of my series, HERITAGE OF THE TOE RIVER VALLEY; see web-site) I would like to use the photo of him (listed under your name) at Find A Grave. Is it under copyright, or my I have your permission to reproduce it?'
Many thanks!

RE: Harrell family cemetery
Grant - i copied this cemetery to preserve the record but don't know the family personally - contact Wilma Lott at wrl@windstream.net Wilma
is in her mid 70's still sharp as a tack mentally
and knows a lot of people around Broxton as she has lived there her entire life -if she doesn't know the family, she probably knows who does

Maynard Crigger 106026875

Thank you for your input to this memorial. I placed the information provided in the bio section of the memorial. The parents listed were provided to me by another F*A*G contributor via the edit function and I don't remember who it was.

Again thanks for your input. -A

---------------------------------------
Maynard Ramon Crigger was the son of

James Hubert Crigger
11-26-1909 6-3-1941

Goldia Susie Mullens
12-18-1916 8-25-2008

The 1940 census for James & Goldia clearly show Maynard and his sister Jean born in 1939 as the children.

A review of the census' for Elmer doesn't show Maynard.

I have 2 trees on ancestry and Maynard is listed in the Pine Ridge Krieger family tree.

Thanks for all of the work you do for Find A Grave.

Thanks
Grant
