Dempsey (Demps) Harrison's Mom
Hello, I work at the Flora Public Library in Flora, IL (Clay County) and we had a reciprocal patron ask us a genealogy question. Would you happen to have the name of Dempsey (Demps) Harrison's Mom? Or any other information about her? The patron said he was related to Dempsey's half brother, Henry Hill, Daviess Co. Indiana. Thank you for your time.

RE: Photo of Carlin Hall's Grave
He didn't have a memorial, I have it posted now. There are several other "Hall"s buried in that cemetery that aren't posted yet, I'll go through and try to get them on today. The weather has just been so nice that I've been out getting more pictures :)

Sallie Burton Nichols
I am a 3rd great niece of Martha Anna Blair; Sallie Burton Nichols was her niece. I am trying to go further back and find more information on the Blair family. Martha's parents were Jonathan Blair and Letty Brown Blair. I believe Letty's mother, Lucy Brown was either 1/2 or full blood cherokee.

Do you have any information on this family line?

Thanks !

Eli McDaniel
I am the Gt. Gt. Granddaughter of Eli McDaniel through his eldest son Elijah Luther McDaniel. I have been trying to contact Randall McDaniel for weeks now. I want to know if he has done DNA on Eli McDaniel's line. My cousin Andrea Baker is willing with me to help pay for the test. We already have the DNA of Caleb McDaniel who was brother to Daniel McDaniel.

Looking back on the listing of those in the Indian Wars a new update had been added of those from Roane Co., TN. In this version of the report was mention of SGT. Daniel McDaniel. Also a mention of SGT. Daniel McDaniel in Knox Co., TN. In 1806 Daniel McDaniel married Sally Smith in Roane Co., TN and by 1810 they are no longer in Roane Co, that I can find. However I saw a mention of a Tombstone marked Dan'l McDaniel in Hardin Co., TN with no other information included about this Dan'l. except in the Indian records it says the people on the list were from Roane Co., TN but some of them were not in Roane Co.,but were listed as coming from there. It mentons that people from Hardin Co., TN often went to Roane Co., TN but found the Indians & land hard to live on.
I really feel that this SGT. Daniel McDaniel is our long lost Daniel who was the Captain McDaniel father of Daniel & Caleb.

Sewell Isom
You're quite welcome. The stone required a bit of clean-up before we could read it, but we knew where his wife Rosa was buried (between her parents, surname Edwards). Sewell rests on the other side of Rosa's father. He outlived Rosa by many years and it appears he had a second wife Sarah who signed his death certificate. We could find no record of Sarah in this cemetery, so perhaps she remarried or is buried elsewhere. Glad we could help.

Isoms in Crawfordsville, OR, cemetery
A problem in locating Sewell Thomas Isom's memorial was reported by another member, and no wonder. Its badly covered with lichens and barely legible, but I do know where it is. I'll try to clean it enough to read and get a photo for you.
