This is a hobby for me. My normal mode of operation is to locate a cemetery, walk all of the rows taking pictures of each legible stone and marker, then return home and examine these photos and update Find A Grave as appropriate. Once I start on a cemetery, I usually work it through to completion; there have been very few exceptions.|
I am related to very, very few of the memorials that I create. If you are a family member and would like to manage the memorial yourself, just ask. Also, if you identify any errors or omissions in a memorial that I created, please use the Edit function to request a change.

I just wanted to say thank you for all of the hard work you do in Cherokee County, GA. I have found lots of information thanks to your efforts!!
Is there any chance you might could help me locate a couple of folks?
1) George W Nations who died Nov 14 2007. I believe his wife Opal to be at Cherokee Memorial Park. She has a photo, but it is a single marker and he isn't listed.
2)Frances Ardelphia Nations Green Mulkey who died July 16, 1998. Not sure how she would be buried. I know she married Mitchell Greene. He is on Find A Grave at Harmony Baptist Church in Cherokee County, Georgia. There is no photo and I have no proof.
Any hints or help you could offer would be appreicated.

Hi, I am not related. I posted their marriage certificate. Thanks for the help!
|Danny Mashburn||RE: S Eliza Thomas|
Hi, The spouses name does match. Sarah Eliza Queen married James "Bud" Thomas in 1884 in Union County, Georgia. Her death certificate lists her husband as "B. Thomas" and her Queen parents. I have a copy of their marriage license from Union County. It is also the correct cemetery location because the original Hopewell Church and cemetery (also known as Eli's Chapel) later became known as Kingtown Baptist Church and cemetery. But before the name was changed the old death certificates have the old name of Hopewell.

I asked my mom about henry mazel and she told that he did remarry two years to Hazel Elizabeth Brewton Mazel after Elizabeth Mazel passed away.

Thank you so very much for finding Robert Tibbetts' grave. I searched near his wife but missed it. You are most kind.

Thank you so much. I may ask a little later to transfer my family members. I'm still too new and just trying to coordinate all. I appreciate all of your time and work.

Just read and the Clyde N Mathis that I know is buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Forsyth Co, Ga with his wife, Mary Waldrip.
Thanks for the quick response.
He does have reference numbers with his Find a grave listing...I just didn't write them down.
You can probably find it by going to Find a grave, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Forsyth County, GA. His brother RC and wife Arvilla are buried at Sawnee View Gardens, Forsyth Co, GA.
Thanks for the work you do to make this site complete.
|Wanda Hastings||Clyde Mathis|
The Clyde Mathis you have as son of Charlie Mathis lived in Forsyth County GA and was married to Mary Waldrip. I'm not sure if they are buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Forsyth County or Sawnee View Gardens in Forsyth County, but they were my neighbors and never lived in Ellijay. They had children: Barbara Jean, Margie and Charles
