Kaci--

Would you like to manage their memorial--I will transfer it happily.

Was their son buried in Resthaven and have a memorial also? If so, will he be linked to them?

Let me know if I can be of any more help

Bronson, Willie Cecil and Mary
Kaci--

I photographed Willie Cecil as requested and noticed Mary Bronson next to him. I photographed and created a memorial for her. Were they husband and wife, if so, I will link them.

And if they are your family, I will happily transfer management to you.

Let me know and use the photos in any way that benefits your family history.

Laura Hogue
Turns out that Laura Hogue is George Blackwell's sister. By the way, the yucca is our state flower here in New Mexico.

RE: Photo of marker for George Thomas and Cecil (Stephens) Blackwell
I am at the cemetery from time to time. I will post the photos that I will be taking of the memorial and yucca. I have been bitten by a yucca plant before and trust me I will not get any closer than needed. They are such beautiful plants I will also respect it for its beauty. In the same 4 +/- grave plot is buried Laura Hogue (1880-1911) and very nearby is Frances Cecelia Stephens (1907-1914)...Any relations?

RE: Photo of marker for George Thomas and Cecil (Stephens) Blackwell
I happen to be a member of the Board of Directors for the cemetery where they are buried, so I am there frequently. I will continue to see if one of these times someone has an idea about how we might be able to move around the plant without damaging it to get a photo. It is a really nice double headstone (and a nice plant).

I have no objections to adding the obit and pic so add it if you wish. Or I can transfer the memorial and you can do as you please. Let me know.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Your letter was in my "junk mail". Yes, I am related, George and Cecil were my great aunt and uncle. My aunt and my father were reared by them, after their mother, George's sister, died. I knew Grant when I was a child, and I met Grant and Ruby once at the funeral of our Uncle Troy.

RE: Willie
Bill Dendy was my uncle. He was married to my maternal grandmother's sister Lillie Mae Reed. They lived their lives in De Leon, where I grew up. Bill and Lillie's son J.W. is a retired Texas Ranger. J.W.'s son Kirby Wayne Dendy is now the head of the Texas Rangers. They were the first father and son Texas Rangers. Bill was a barber. He was also an amateur magician and would do magic tricks and tell tall tales when he was cutting your hair. Bill and Lillie also had a daughter Billie Jean, who was crippled and in a wheelchair most of her life.

William Jewel Flannery
Just so you know, I looked up William Jewel Flannery's death certificate on FamilySearch.org. It says that his mother's name was Pearl Kimbrell. Now, I know nothing about William, but I thought I would let you know about this.
